Man I've got my NYU LOCI ready for what I'm guessing is an impending waitlist, but I'm wondering if sending it right now would better favor my app. I guess I'll wait, otherwise I won't have anything to send after being put waitlist. I just want this madness to be over.

I have a 169 and they are still ghosting me -.-

I'm at one 75th and above the other and I've heard nothing (besides the fake RSVP invite). MyLSN has me at 100%, so either my app is historically bad or they still have some to go. I'm in at other schools so I think it's the latter, but who knows. Keep the faith!

To have a JS2, Chicago and even Penn acceptances and not have heard from NYU is just crazy to me. chimera, when did you apply?

Apologies for super delayed response to this-- I applied everywhere mid-November! The only school I'm waiting on besides NYU is Stanford (lol)

According to mysln, in the whole history of LSN there have been 38 folks with my LSAT and almost exactly my GPA. 35 were straight up accepted, 2 were waitlisted, and 1 was rejected. That's a 92% acceptance rate. I felt pretty good about that.

But here it is in April and I'm still waiting at UR1. Maybe I just suck, but this seems weird.

19 acceptances, 1 waitlist for me. 95%. Still at UR1 since 12/2

I tend to think that LSN is biased towards success stories due to response bias.

I sent in a brief - hey I'm interested and I have a new academic publication - in February. They said they'd add it to my file, and haven't had any movement since. UR - 11/16, UR2 - 1/9. I would just wait in case you do get WL. I kind of wish I did, because now I don't have any new news

Ditto !! (to the anxiety, not the amazing stats - i wish!) I think I have aged 30 years in these past few months, and I have also fully adopted the bitterness that comes with old age as well. I'm simultaneously ready to give up on them completely yet also DYING for any semblance of communication from them...

Well I sympathize (read: agree 100%) with Jess here, but I will ask to give you the benefit of the doubt - would you really attend NYU, at sticker, if they took you off of the waitlist? Do you feel it will be as good if not better a fit for you than UCLA?

if so, well, you might as well wait it out for a decision and work from there (assuming they WL and don't ding you).

I took committed to mean that there is no longer an option to attended NYU if admitted. If he could still attend, then yeah, ride it out if you think it's likely you would attend. I put down a first deposit. So in theory I can still eat my deposit and attend NYU still. I haven't decided if I'd attend at sticker; I'm trying to figure that out by the end of this week
