Ok, mystery semi-solved! Blame the slow postman! Turns out he wasn't done earlier, and lo, a VCE was stuffed in the mailbox when I did a second check. Postmarked Jan 25th. Butler Fellow, apparently, which is half-tuition.

The only schollys beside this went out via e-mail, right? This could lend some weight to a theory where (since disproportionately few high numbers have been admitted so far) the scholarship committee is sending out its envelopes in a different batch from the regular committee.

Yargh. This actually sounds fairly plausible, in which case all of the borderline acceptances may already be out. Good news for you high index candidates though.

Just finally gave in and peeked in my neighbor's mailbox (I live in a duplex) and there's mail in there postmarked 1/24 and 1/25, so I guess the disappearing mailman theory is out... Starting to accept the fact that CLS may just not like me

I'm in CT - about 20 min from New Haven. No VCE here, or GULC. But then it took my NYU letter over a week to get here...

Hey Eski, just a thought. Most of the mail keys I ever had in New York were standardized for the building (i.e. your neighbor may be able to open your box for you). Just a thought.

I swear this is the second time she has done this this cycle. If it was her that I am remembering (maybe it was dulc) then I'm not sure I feel bad.

No, it was me. My apt people don't have an extra key and they won't change the lock. I just use roomie's key but she's GONEEEEEEEEEEE.

Nothing in LA today. Well except a giant packet from W&L about employment. They are definitely not a friend to the trees. I don't even have my GULC packet yet!

Came home from work early, and literally drove past the mailman up the street. Part of me wanted to pull over the car.

It will still probably take another half hour for them to get here before I can confirm a lack of vomit :/

I think my mother and sister are starting to get REALLY annoyed with my thrice (at least) daily MAIL???? text messages.
