I also had my interview today and didn't think to ask this. Is this a bad sign for those of us who just interviewed today?boslaw56 wrote:FYI - I had my interview this morning and they said they're trying to have all decisions out by April 1, so you can rest assured knowing we only have about 2 more weeks of obsessively waiting for a decision.

I think if you got an interview then you're probably fine. As for the rest of us with no JS1, really means we will be dinged or waitlisted.R2D7point5 wrote:I also had my interview today and didn't think to ask this. There's usually a big wave of JS2s rights before the April 1st "deadline" so not necessarily.R2D7point5 wrote:I also had my interview today and didn't think to ask this. Re: Harvard C/O 2019 Applicants
Main reason I thought it could be bad for us is that would require a very quick JS2 turnaround, meanwhile it seems like most JS1-JS2 wait times are at least 30 days. So unless they just do ours unusually quick because we interviewed last, I thought it could be a disadvantage and possibly mean we will be left for the WL.gamerish wrote:There's usually a big wave of JS2s rights before the April 1st "deadline" so not necessarily.R2D7point5 wrote:I also had my interview today and didn't think to ask this. Re: Harvard C/O 2019 Applicants
I got my JS2 just barely over 2 weeks after my JS1 and I'm not the only one who that was the case for in this most recent wave (several interviewed after I did and got a JS2 the same day as me IIRC) so it's certainly not unprecedented.R2D7point5 wrote:Main reason I thought it could be bad for us is that would require a very quick JS2 turnaround, meanwhile it seems like most JS1-JS2 wait times are at least 30 days. I don't think so. They aren't doing interviews just for practice, so if you were bound for the waitlist, they wouldn't have bothered. A JS1 means they're seriously considering you.R2D7point5 wrote:I also had my interview today and didn't think to ask this. That's how I feel. I've been on Application Complete since 11/25. At the very least...I didn't receive a ding today (I'm sorry to all who did).16to19 wrote:Doesn't bode well for those of us sitting on application complete...

so with them saying they want to have decisions out by April 1st.. does this pretty much mean if no Js1 yet then it's not happening?

I was thinking it would be better for people in your js1 wave. I interviewed early February and feel like it's a setback since they seemed to have passed me over during the last JS2 wave. I guess it's all about perspective!R2D7point5 wrote:Main reason I thought it could be bad for us is that would require a very quick JS2 turnaround, meanwhile it seems like most JS1-JS2 wait times are at least 30 days.
