He's making a joke that if you're going to give $100 to someone in the hong bao, you should do it with 1 $100 bill, instead of 5 $20 bills, because the 5 20s are tacky

So, financial aid question which makes me feel like an ass but.... I still have to fill out FAFSA and everything even though I'm obviously not getting additional aid, right? I will likely have to take out loans to live/eat/etc

If you want loans, you fill out FAFSA and NeedAccess (I don't know about NU's little scholarship application with the essays.)

IIRC, NeedAccess filters questions for school- NU doesn't require these questions, but other schools do, so you may see the parent questions if you are applying with NeedAccess for other schools.

I don't know any other schools' deadlines, but the one for NU is March 1st, and it's rolling. I think some schools are as early as Feb 15th, so I think it's best to just submit ASAP.

Of course, I'm also financial-doc-stupid, so maybe someone else should step in and take the reins on this question.

Like I said, I'm totally clueless about other schools, so that could very well be true. I only know for sure that NU expects the information by then.

Hey now! I still posted a lot after I got in. Still do. Besides, most of my posts before I got in weren't solely focused on my own lack of admissions.
