Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
Still just in reserve! Last quartile in alphabet, originally complete on March 6, reserved March 22, low 3s GPA, and mid/high 170s LSAT. Are there any new theories to explain how this is working?

I'm also not in review yet and have very competitive numbers, with a last name in the 1st quartile

Just went into review today. I was put on reserve about 2 months ago in March. 3.4/169. Two LOCI. Last name in around middle.
EDIT: Waitlisted by email.

Looks like I went back into review on the 19. Guess I better start obsessively checking the status checker again

Review date updated to 05/31. Between Cornell and Georgetown's constant jerking around, this is truly sadistic

Just missed a call from Cornell.kfresha wrote:Review date updated to 05/31. Between Cornell and Georgetown's constant jerking around, this is truly sadistic
Edit: Just was offered admission to Cornell. Have to respond by thursday to let them know if i want to "pursue it further" i.e. complete the finaid process. Not sure what I want to do as I'm deposited at NU. A significant amount of grant aid would make me reconsider, but didn't sound like that would be happen.

Sorry about your waitlist, but it's interesting you went under review and waitlisted the same day. This process is kinda crazy.thelawyler wrote:Just went into review today. I was put on reserve about 2 months ago in March. 3.4/169. Two LOCI. Last name in around middle.

Congrats on your acceptance, splitmuch!

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
I just read this after my nap and got super excited to see you get in there. Hopefully this isn't some last ditch effort to raise the median to 178 and they're also interested in 176s. Also hoping you prefer NU. Still pretty stoked that you got in there so I know the GPA isn't a total DQ on reserve.splitmuch wrote:Thanks. Still "on reserve"....I am assuming this means that I am not at the top of their priority list...

Think the alphabetically part has been roundly debunked a few pages back.NYC Law wrote:Same here, pretty sure they're just going alphabeticallygsat wrote:Still "on reserve"....I am assuming this means that I am not at the top of their priority list...

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
Sorry, this is my first post but I thought I'd add a tidbit. My last name starts in the middle of the alphabet and I'm still under review as of 5/17. It's almost certainly not in alphabetical order (fwiw).

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
I'm the middle too and still under review, submitted my original app the day like 2 days after the EA deadline (early Nov.)thepitts wrote:Sorry, this is my first post but I thought I'd add a tidbit. Could just be random I guess, that or it's alphabetical but they pulled out ones they especially like (either by number or those that are barely on the waitlist).

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
Called Cornell this morning- they said they've already begun to re-review reserve applicants (no surprise) and they could not give me a specific time that I would hear back (no surprise x2)
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
