I still haven't heard a peep from Northeastern and it's driving me crazy.
I've been complete since 1/4. Should I e-mail them? This could be a game-changer for me.

Definitely, and give specific reasons as to why you are interested in NU. If you are still in school, send them an updated transcript if you have good grades.dream1031 wrote:waitlisted at nu.

DL mailed on 3/25 after I was deferred in early January. I was really surprised to be deferred, but I have pretty much already crossed Northeastern off my list (I sent my deposit to another school). Does scholarship money come with the letter?

Did people get scholarship information with initial acceptance or later?

I applied in late January. Went complete 2/24. Decision mailed 3/24. Celebration still hasn't stopped. I feel so blessed.jbarl1 wrote:I applied back in early NovemberRedSoxFan wrote:When did everyone apply? I've been complete for quite some time now.

Re: Northeastern 2010
I sent an application to Northeastern Law late October as an early applicant. On January 11th, I received a letter deferring my application to the regular admissions pool. I haven't heard anything since. I'm sure they are not spending weeks looking at my application and I can't understand why it is so hard for them to just send a decision letter, whatever it is. I don't see how this can reflect well on the school.

Re: Northeastern 2010
They need to wait to see what other applicants offer; it is not like they are waiting just to think about it more. I would expect that a number of applicants will hear back very soon and others will trickle out as letters of intent arrive.
I am struggling to decide where to go. Northeastern may be my top choice, but I was accepted to a tier1 offering a better scholarship. Some others here must be in the same boat - what do you do? I am going to try negotiating, but doubt that I will get far. If anyone here has made progress on schollys, let me know. I will do the same. I will be at the admitted student event on 4/10 as well.

Re: Northeastern 2010
I would also like to know if anyone has had success in negotiating scholarships from NEU... It has been my top choice for some time now but I just can't wrap my head around paying sticker price for it. I was accepted back in December and at the moment I'm leaning towards Uconn where I will be paying half the price of NEU. All I got from NEU were loans when supposedly 75% of students get some aidbarkingbug wrote:They need to wait to see what other applicants offer; it is not like they are waiting just to think about it more.
