What??? Why am I the buster? Maybe it was a typo. I should double-check.keg411 wrote:FunkyJD, my Pitt letter says 4/15 and I received it back in February.

My script says Nova's not supposed to lose until the Sweet Sixteen, so a loss would not be good.

So now that I have visited 8 schools I am leaning towards Villanova, thinking about trying to negotiate my scholly but I do not really want to push my luck too far. I don't know how I feel about most likely working in Philly, but I guess I could always try and spread my wings haha!

Hey, just went to visit the school today and I loved it! I was wondering if anyone knew about: A) where most law students live, B) What night life is like for law students (Friday and Saturday night if people go out, C) If law students go to the sporting events and D) I have a serious girlfriend coming into law school and I am wondering how accepting people will be as she will not be a student but will be up at the school most weekends and will typically hang out with whoever my circle of friends becomes.
Sorry to post in both Villanova forms but did not know which one was the correct one to post in.

1) Radnor House seems to be the most popular 2) it is what you make of it, when I visited I was told a fair amount go out 3) there's a lottery for the basketball games 4) that's a personal thing man, can't really say much about that.
Mikeyp gave me my tour and is where I'm getting most of my information from. If you have questions, I'm sure you could PM him to get some more information or search his old posts. He's a 1L there now, and extremely helpful.

Hey folks,
In at Villanova and received an admission letter (not packet), do they usually send fellowship/scholarship packet after the admission letter or is it safe to assume I'm not receiving anything but loans from them?
Applied a little late (2/18) so I am a little worried I am not getting any aid.

does anyone know anything about Radcliff House or The Radwyn as housing options? (i.e. amount of law students living there, proximity to school?)

The RSVP deadline for the admitted students day is April 1. Take from that what you will.mhd08 wrote:Any specific reason for this prediction?RP1983 wrote:All of us under review right now should probably hear back pretty soon ( give or take a day or 2)

Between those two, more people live at radcliff house. radcliff is also closer.mshflyer wrote:does anyone know anything about Radcliff House or The Radwyn as housing options? (i.e. amount of law students living there, proximity to school?)

I don't think that means anything. Some of us are just going to be fucked, and i doubt Villanova cares. But maybe I'm just being pessimistic because of how frustrating it is that I haven't heard yet.jlnoa0915 wrote:The RSVP deadline for the admitted students day is April 1. I don't know if it does or not; just putting the information out there. I'm a 0L and won't pretend to know what the adcoms are thinking.snowpeach06 wrote:I don't think that means anything. Oh shit, the Nova deposit deadline is April 1st? I didn't get a packet, how do we go about reserving our seat? Just send in a check?
The site says April 15th, did the letter say differently? I don't have it with me.

We're not fucked! Stay positive! They are just trying to decide how much scholarship money to give us =)snowpeach06 wrote:I don't think that means anything. No the seat deposit is still the 15th, I was talking about the deadline for rsvping to their open house; that is april first.beach_terror wrote:Oh shit, the Nova deposit deadline is April 1st? I didn't get a packet, how do we go about reserving our seat? Just send in a check?

As far as sending them the deposit, they have instructions on the admitted student section of their website.

Re: Villanova 2010
A) most people live at radnor house, and its definitely the most convenient because its closest to school and walking distance to all the bars.Onion wrote:Hey, just went to visit the school today and I loved it! B) Night life is great. we all go out once a week, sometimes twice. top-law-schools.com isn't as mundane as you would expect. the bars are really chill, and the school hosts a ton of events, which often include free kegs of yuengling and wine! we go to trivia night a lot on wednesdays too at flip and baileys (aka the "law school bar"). also, we take the train into philly a lot to go out too, since it's only $8 round trip and a 15 minute ride.
C) ABSOLUTELY. the basketball games are a TON of fun.
D) not a problem. i actually have 3-4 friends that have girlfriends that don't go to the school. if i think about, its probably a lot more than 4 friends, to be honest. people are very friendly and welcoming, so no worries.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
