"Final Decision Made" - via status checker...does anyone know if I get an email or should I just wait for snail mail?

Seems that most get the answer in the mail. When did you go complete/in review?joonhp wrote:"Final Decision Made" - via status checker...does anyone know if I get an email or should I just wait for snail mail?

Re: Southwestern
I got my acceptance but was notified that i will be considered for a scholarship once funds become available. While i am very interested in the Scale program, the 500 deposit is pretty huge and my decision to attend rides on the amount of money they give me. Does anybody know whether it is appropriate/realistic to ask them to give me some sort of financial aid estimate, or to at least ask them to extend my deposit due date until I hear about my financial aid package? thanks

I think it would be reasonable to ask for a deposit extension.angela wrote:I got my acceptance but was notified that i will be considered for a scholarship once funds become available. Re: Southwestern
Seems to be a huge lull in activity at SW. I wonder if they're off for spring break and/or waiting for 1st seat deposits before they start churning through files.

They're on break, but the 1st poster on this page had a decision made Monday. No doubt there is a lull though, for whatever reason. A really annoying lull

I agree. I really like the administrators and the dean - he was very approachable and spoke with me in a straight-forward manner. It feels like the right place for me. I guess that means I'll see you in August for orientation.Soul Minded wrote:So did I, guess I will be seeing you on campus next year.littlepiggie818 wrote:I did attend the scholarship event and I submitted my deposit the next day.Soul Minded wrote:Did any of you guys go to the scholarship event last week that are going to be attending next year?
The dean and all the administrators seemed super approachable and it felt like the right choice.

Returned the wait-list package. I'm in for the long haul.
Come on people, withdraw if you are not attending.

Re: Southwestern
Just heard back on my scholarship: $20K/year.
Assuming I can't negotiate for more, do you think I should choose Southwestern with $60K total debt or Loyola with $124K total debt?

Re: Southwestern
That's definitely a fair offer for your numbers. Looks like SW is doing a good job pricing applicants. This comes down to a personal choice. There is no right answer here...

SW...If you are good student which it seems you are, you will be successful anywhere you go. With the $$ you got from SW you will be able to pay off the debt much quicker and it will turn out to be an overall better investment.chango wrote:Just heard back on my scholarship: $20K/year.

This is why you should pick Southwestern and not Loyola:

Re: Southwestern
They're both third tiers. Loyola is just a pretender. Southwestern is in a better location and cheaper. This choice is DUH.

Which one are you leaning towards? I got the same amount but I'm deciding between SW and Santa Clara ($11k/year)chango wrote:Just heard back on my scholarship: $20K/year.

OK still haven't heard back from SW (my current top choice) and McGeorge wants my deposit by today. I requested an extension and they said they can only go as far as April 15. McGeorge is the only other school that I am currently acceppted and interested in and don't want to lose my seat but also still want to holdout for SW...anything I can do to speed up the decision process with sw??
btw 3.16/158
