Hmm I only applied to four schools for Undergrad, denied at one waitlisted at one and accepted to two. The two I was accepted to are my current school and Furman, and it was a tough choice. I sometimes wonder how different my life would be if I had gone there, I really enjoyed it on my visit. It's a great school. I imagine losing the dean would have a big impact on W&L Law, but that's a great opportunity for him.

when did you apply / go complete? did the status checker change to under review?

Applied 10/30, went complete 11/12 (I had to call to find out why it took so long), and no, it just says complete. I wouldn't have even noticed it if I hadn't checked the mailings section, because nothing in the status section changed.

I also got the update today: (FYI, I applied 11/13 & went complete on 11/19)

Current Status: Decision reached; notification pending.
Current Status Date: 12/4/2009

Letter of Decision Mailed 12/04/2009

Does anybody know if there is a way to find out what the decision is before we get the letter? I think waiting for the mail might be worse than waiting to see any updates on the status checker...

Oh, mine just changed to that too. So the mailing appears to show up first.

Based on LSN, MOST of the decisions so far have been acceptances. A few have been rejects, but they were, aside from one, all really low LSATs (lower than 160).

Decision reached! I totally missed this thread this morning for some reason. I'm in California so I guess it will take a while to get the letter! Good luck to all of you!

Wow, so even someone with about the same #'s who went complete 2 weeks after me got DS, as have the rest of you, while I sit complete 11/5 at a school that accepted me with $$$ last cycle. Um, think they're upset that I declined to reapply?

I don't know if you're talking about me or not, but if you are: my complete date is a little misleading. I had submitted it way way before the 11/18 date I mentioned, but in my infinite brilliance, I forgot to submit my personal statement. But I'm pretty sure they had already taken a look at my file, even sans statement. So, for all intents and purposes, my complete date is a little misleading.

Jeez, sorry that turned into a novel there. Anyway, hope it was helpful.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
