Hoping for decision rendered tomorrow.... this whole updated "under review" thing has made me obsessively check my status this weekend (sigh). I'm sure letters for 11/02 decision rendered will come soon!!!

Oh, and I think the scholarship application is a separate process - they invite certain people to apply a few weeks after they have been accepted (I think).

So you think GULC sorts files into presumptive admits/denials and reviews the admits earliest and then sends out decisions.

Or they just review as files go complete and keep the rejects under review until around Dec?

Does anyone know more information about Georgetown re: scholarships? Georgetown is my dream school, and I was accepted, but I'm struggling with the financial aspect of it. It would break my heart to withdraw my acceptance!

I have no idea what Georgetown's review procedures are, except to say that they have likely already received applications that will be eventually be rejected, but those have not surfaced yet and, if history proves an accurate indicator, will not surface until December.

In light of that, I'd like to get a decision sooner than later..... like TOMORROW.... (sigh). Hopefully we will both be hearing soon!!

There'll be another spot open as of tomorrow; I'll be withdrawing after my financial aid from Texas. Cost being equal, or even slightly below equal, I'd pick UT.

Something I have heard is that they may take longer to review you if they're debating giving you a scholarship, but that's from a 1L I know who could just be speculating.

I went complete around the same day as you (might have been the exact same day actually), and my status is also "under review" since 10/28. I'm not expecting to have a decision for another 2 weeks or so anyway. Seems like a bunch of people were under review for a month before they heard anything.

status check said decision on 11/2. (submitted mid-october)
received the small (acceptance) envelope today, 11/9.

i'm currently abroad and put my work address down; I was out of town last week and got handed the packet by the secretary when i walked in this morning, so it might actually have arrived sometime last week?

i'm pretty impressed with the speed. they had to fedex the small envelope in a bigger envelope. gtown is currently beating duke in the "who knows how to mail stuff abroad in a timely manner" race, given that i got into duke PT three weeks ago, hah. i think though that since gtown knew i was abroad and made the effort to fedex it, it might have reached me faster than people in the US, who would have gotten it via regular delivery mail... so don't worry yet, guys!

oh, also, got a sort've personalized handwritten note too, which is nice. especially since my PS statement said something about how much i wanted to go to BU...

Admissions has only been open for 15 minutes this morning. But...anyone with date changes last week go "Decision Rendered" today?

I haven't changed to decision rendered yet.... although my review date updated last week and I've been obsessively checking this morning

Also, parker09 (if you don't mind) where are you from? I'm international also and wouldn't mind knowing how long I have to wait this out.... assuming I get in, that is. You can PM me if you want

My status checker updated the date from 9/28 to 11/05 on thursday, but it's still showing "application under review" as of 11:35am today
