I've decided to go to the open house this Saturday. Is anybody from TLS attending, too?

I really want to, but I just got accepted so with such short notice Its going to be hard to get up and leave. Be sure to take pics if you can, and let us know how it goes.bklyngreenlp wrote:I've decided to go to the open house this Saturday. Is anybody from TLS attending, too?

Re: Temple 2010!
hey guys, my status changed from "complete 1/20/10" to "complete 3/16/10". can i do anything at this point to help my application, i.e. visiting the school and speaking with an admissions member, or have they already made a decision?
would love to hear your thoughts, thanks!

When that happened to my status, I actually received a decision a few days later. So it might be a good thing, actually!dannybang wrote:hey guys, my status changed from "complete 1/20/10" to "complete 3/16/10". can i do anything at this point to help my application, i.e. visiting the school and speaking with an admissions member, or have they already made a decision?

Ah, I'm just bracing for the worst- my lsat score is very uncompetitive for Temple

Are you suggesting it would be a good idea to go visit, say tomorrow? I'm trying to throw a few more hail mary's before they reach a decision

Was just reading the temple website and it says they won't tell you how much aid your getting until after you get accept. I haven't gotten in, and dont' know if I will, but that strikes me as insane. How can I just not factor in how much money I would get?

If I remember correctly you can request a preview of you aid package. They say that it is usually pretty accurate. I may be mixing Temple up with another school

If they give you some kind of merit scholarship, they send the letter with the acceptance packet. Do you mean need-based? Because I think most schools wouldn't give you exact numbers for a while.snowpeach06 wrote:Was just reading the temple website and it says they won't tell you how much aid your getting until after you get accept. TITCR, ask for a preliminary financial aid award letter and they'll email you one.keemos wrote:snowpeach06 wrote:Was just reading the temple website and it says they won't tell you how much aid your getting until after you get accept. Regarding the preliminary financial award letter, I emailed requesting one and received one in the mail like a week later.

Re: Temple 2010!
Haven't settled, but strongly considering Temple, assuming that none of my remaining Hail Marys come through. At this point, I'm considering Temple, Villanova, UCONN, Northeastern ($$), and Seton Hall ($$$). I'm out of state at all of the above and fairly indifferent location-wise, although I'm not a huge fan of Newark.ragnarok545 wrote:Bump. Has no one settled on Temple?

Sadly, I cannot make it on 3/20. However I am about 80% sure that I am going to lay down a deposit at Temple. I visited and took a tour on my own, and I was very impressed!

Re: Temple 2010!
Can you do a kind of self-guided tour at Temple? I was in New York and visited Cardozo on a relative whim and they literally would not let me into the building. I'm going to be in Philadelphia for about 4 hours next Friday morning and would love to tour Temple.jerzgrl630 wrote:Sadly, I cannot make it on 3/20. Email them and let them know in advance, I wouldnt just show up. When we were on the tour you couldn't get into either building unless you signed in or with the tour guide.emtuoh wrote:Can you do a kind of self-guided tour at Temple? Re: Temple 2010!
According to their website, you can just show up on Mondays between 11 and 2. It specifically says you don't need to request an appointment. I did this and got my own private tour, which was amazing. My guide was a student who was extremely knowledgeable and nice, and I really enjoyed myself on the tour. The facilities (especially the classrooms) are very impressive. The school was definitely bumped from a "maybe" to a "great likelihood" for me.jlnoa0915 wrote:Email them and let them know in advance, I wouldnt just show up.
