If so, we (I) of the HMS: FREAKING OUT are going to take our gin and board the USS: Bitter Pessimism.

I never would have gotten a JR1 if Harvard averaged.kinch wrote:Where did you hear Harvard doesn't average?crackberry wrote:Mine is 8 points. If they average I have no shot. I don't think they average though, regardless of what they say. They have no reason to. Harvard doesn't average; why would NYU?AngryAvocado wrote: Thanks for pointing that out. If averaging still made him a borderline candidate, I'm not too comforted. My LSAT split is >10 points.
Anybody else?

Sorry, I don't actually have the envelope with me right now (I left it at home). But I live in SF and it came in this morning.BaiAilian2013 wrote:+1ChaotiCait wrote:Was yours postmarked the 3rd like the rest?sfdreaming09 wrote:In at NYU! No idea how it got to me here in CA so fast.

Re: NYU 2010
so if i submitted my app like Nov 8th and I only recently got my 'complete' email (on Dec 1st i think), I shouldn't be expecting anything anytime soon right?
for those of you who have received a decision - when was your 'complete' email? and did you apply ED or regular?
Going forward, i think we should all include as much info as possible in informing the board of the outcome - such as - when you submitted it, when it was "complete", your score and GPA, whether it was ED or regular, etc.
That is helpful to everyone here.
By the way, CONGRATS to everyone who got in!

Has anyone who ED'd but got a complete email on 11/25 or later been accepted?

Re: NYU 2010
seems like most of the responses are for medianish lsat and over 75th gpa. in fact, seems like most schools have been getting to 75th+ gpas first and lsats all over the place.

Other than questioning your intelligence for ED'ing with an over median GPA and 75th LSAT, I don't think you have much to worry about. Just be patient.kinch wrote:Ughhh no mail today, I live about an hour from NYC.

Re: NYU 2010
My mail comes to my parents' house. I sent my father, who has a broken toe, out in the pouring rain to get the mail. (I told him to send my able-bodied mother, but I guess he too was eager to find out. When I got my high school admissions letter he tried to read it through the envelope before I got home.) There was nothing from NYU.kinch wrote:Ughhh no mail today, I live about an hour from NYC.
ED, 173/3.8, complete 11/3
RD, GPA just above median, LSAT well above 75th, submitted Sept. 8th, complete Nov. 3rd.
In summation, why NYU whyyyyyyyy???????? What did I do??

Just had the same experience. My dad may not have a broken toe, but I did inconvenience him by sending him out in the rain for nothing.BaiAilian2013 wrote:My mail comes to my parents' house. Re: NYU 2010
I thought about taking the tram over and doing some dumpster diving in case they accidentally threw mine away instead of mailing it. Need to dress nicely so they don't think I'm an undergrad or a freegan though.gahthelaw wrote:holy mother. i go away from the board for ONE NORMAL NIGHT OUT and what happens? people are getting into NYU?!?! I have nothing either but according to USPS it should take 3 days to get to me, so hopefully Monday.
