Not only did I get the practical skills packet a few days ago, but today I came home to a BIG fat packet!
...which turned out to be a viewbook, an application, and an invitation to apply with a fee waiver.
SO NOT NICE. You have my application already!

LOL! That’s hilarious... and also tragic... L&C is turning out to be the biggest cock tease in the world...scienara wrote:Not only did I get the practical skills packet a few days ago, but today I came home to a BIG fat packet!

Well, I hope so. I live in Portland and would love to stay. I just found out I'm in at UW, though, so I think L&C will have to offer me some money for me to justify staying.

I cannot remember whether this has been asked, but of those who have been admitted, who is planning to attend the admitted students day on the 20th of March?
I am planning on coming up with my family.

Finally got the Practical Skills pamphlet yesterday that everyone has been talking about. It took awhile to get to me since I live in FL.

What are the practical skills? I haven't received it yet. I feel left out, maybe even impractical or unskilled.

It's about Kenneth Montoya, Tanya Sanerib and Sheila Watson. It comes in a deceptively large envelop. I'm not sure what else to say.
Maybe we could start a Practical Skills book discussion to forget about L&C fucking with us?

Has anyone gone through L&C visit/tour? I signed up for one but I'm just trying to figure out the timeline because of work. The schedule they sent me says class visit from 9:30-11:30? I didn't think we stay throughout the whole thing. And then the tour from 11:30-12:00pm.
Thanks!

I'm going on Monday evening from 5-7, so I'll let you know how it goes and what the protocol is. My schedule states that I have a tour from 5:00-6:00 and CivPro class from 6:00-7:00. The night classes may be set up differently, though. Curiously, what do you think the appropriate attire would be? Business casual?chris0406 wrote:Has anyone gone through L&C visit/tour? Ugh, my status date was changed again, this time to 2/8/09, the date keeps changing but still says In Review. So cryptic!

Kimber1028-
I think I'll just wear nice jeans, a blazer, and nice shoes nothing too fancy because I'll be sitting in with other students. Yes let me know how yours go and how long your lasts, I'd appreciate it. Have fun!

Hey everybody, this is my first post here. So I got my acceptance today, went complete 1/30. The thing is they sent a letter that said all the aid has already been given up for the year, but I am a candidate for scholarship when they give out more money in late April. I was really counting on money from them because I really like the school, but I can't turn down 20,000 a year at W & M for nothing at L & C. Do you think if I explain that I really do want to go there and I need some scholarship as incentive they might offer money before April?

I would say yes, only if someone with a scholarship withdraws before then.gangreen29 wrote:Hey everybody, this is my first post here. So I got my acceptance today, went complete 1/30.
