The letter they sent with scholarship info said they would be selecting finalists for full ride scholarships, notify finalists mid-feb, and then fly candidates down at the University's expense to be interviewed. Hopefully we'll get some love.

I believe this past year it was 36 and change, and im sure it goes up a little every year.

I just went on the UM website, and there was a link to apply for Dean. Do they not have one?
Should I apply for that as well?

Also, does anyone know how big the student body is? How many 1L's are enrolled?

I think the 1L class is about 375.

The person said she was unsure, but yeah, they might just select candidates.

Check earlier in this thread. I think someone said something about no needs-based schollies offered at Miami.

Just spoke to Miami-in the past they gave need-based, but they said based on the economic climate it doesnt seem likely this year.

And for those of you who did not get a scholarship offer from Miami, did you still receive some sort of letter talking about financial aid in general?

mine took around 7 business days

It took 12 days for me, but people who found out on the same day as I did received it sooner.

Just got the acceptance packet. For those of you who received scholarships - did they come with the acceptance packet or in another separate envelope? I have no mention of scholarship in this packet and would really need one to strongly consider Miami as a viable option.
