Itching to get scholly info - I'm tired of telling people 'Don't know, but I'll probably end up in Boston' when they ask me - I know where I want to go I just want to make sure the financials work out!

Sent in my application and posting now because if I post, that means something will happen--right? Hope that's how this works.

When I did my apps, I felt like writing an addendum couldn't hurt. So if I questioned it, I wrote the addendum. I'd write it just explaining the reasoning. Even if that reasoning is that you just wanted to chill out for a while.

When did you apply? Also if you don't mind me asking where is your GPA and LSAT in regards to the median?

You are more than welcome, also FWIW There has literally never been any changes to my status checker. Everyone can stop checking those apparently lol

Just got the call that I'm in! I'm excited and honored. :D

My status checker also never moved once. I never even got an email stating that my application was under review. I just checked my status checker, and it still says "application complete."

My stats are 25%<LSAT<50%, GPA ~75%

Do y'all use the 2015 or 2016 #s? It's a pretty decent jump (really affected my numbers at least)

Fall 2016 161 164 165 3.52 3.68 3.77
Fall 2015 160 163 164 3.41 3.67 3.75

I've been using the 2016 numbers.

That stats change was really significant. I don't think many people noticed what a huge jump they made but I wouldn't be surprised to see them climb a few USNWR spots in the coming years.

Not sure. Based on last years thread it could be a long wait, unfortunately.

Could be wrong here, but aren't BU's employment numbers still a little behind the other T20 schools?

I'm not sure on the exact number comparisons off the top of my head (and I'm too lazy to work it all out right now) but I think they are a little lower than you'd expect. I think there is the potential for that to change, though. They made a huge jump last year and if their numbers keep improving/they attract better students/they attact better professors, etc. I think it becomes a continuous cycle. Who knows...but it definitely wouldn't surprise me if 3 years down the road they're in a better spot.

Yeah I'm in agreement there. Boston has a very good legal market in a very cool city. No reason BU or BC shouldn't be a bit higher up considering Harvard is so out of reach for many
