Oh, and...just pressed "launch" on my ED app.

It's gone, it's done. No taking it back now! 8)

Applied 10/6, interviewed with Chris Colby yesterday... no word on admission yet, but he did tell me that the admissions officers were out of the office for a few days and would not be issuing decisions until next week

LSAT = median, 75%<GPA

here's hoping for the best :)

Just wanted to pop in & wish you guys the best of luck.

I recently graduated from UVA & have just passed 1 of my 2 bar exams (so far). So I speak with confidence and a bit of perspective when I say that UVA was absolutely the right choice for me (and I hope it will be for some of you as well). Between fantastic & brilliant professors, smart & friendly classmates, and the beautiful city of Charlottesville, UVA is just a damn hard school to beat for academic/life balance.

So good luck, and try not to get too crazy during the admissions process. No matter where you end up, law school will be a beautiful-horrible experience, and hopefully you'll be glad you went. Take a deep breath, you guys will be fine in whatever you do.

Cheers,

So, if you're above both 75ths and don't get YP'ed, what's the average wait time?

Curious to know as well as I had an interview with Colby about two weeks ago. Went very well but no update on the status checker...

Is it a good sign to interview with Colby? I'm supposed to meet with them in mid November when I visit campus.

I've seen people on this forum get in with Colby but he can't accept you on the phone call. I believe that only the Dean can do that...

When you're waiting on LORs to submit...
But seriously, I'm so excited about UVA. Although I've never met Colby, the admissions staff that I have spoken with are incredibly amicable and helpful. Best of luck on your interview!

I'm a 176/3.6 and interviewed with him mid September. Didn't get a decision until 6 October. Take that for what it's worth.

I interviewed with him last week and got admitted today, if that helps any. Seems like it really just depends

It could be the innocent "randomness" of the admissions cycle that he mentioned to me would happen or it could be that they don't want to admit people with numbers > UVA's 75s too quickly so they don't think that UVA is too easy. Just my thoughts, but hopefully we'll get answers soon.

It's been about two weeks for me so far. Seems on par with what CenterFringe said, so possibly takes 2-3 weeks to get a decision?

yes, they will contact you saying something along the lines of "Could we set up a time to discuss your application?"

Mine's been messed up for a couple of weeks.
