Went UR1 on 11/21 as well.

Check your status checker, mine changed. If it helps I am ED + URM. GPA = .02 below 75, 25<LSAT<50
ED, non-URM. No change on the status checker
When did u go UR1?

For whatever it's worth, I went complete on 10/28, UR2 on 11/14. Nothing here - no idea what the schedule is.

This is an enjoyable experience.

Pretty sure it's a prerequisite for acceptance but not a guarantee

Right, but i know Harvard accepts like 70% of the people then interview or something, any idea what that would be for Chicago?
Nope.

Page 11 in this thread has some of the questions, and the pages before it and after it have some reflections on the process.

It's a long process and we are still in the early phases. Try to relax while you still can. Best of luck!

Eh. Chicago is the biggest reach I've applied to so I figure I'll just ride it out and probably will need to wait for months for a WL at best lol

I just had my interview today - I was so ready for being grilled with oddball questions but it turned out to be a very laid-back, friendly interview. My interviewer kept it very conversational. We talked about why I chose my undergrad school, my undergrad experience, why law, why uchicago, hesitations about transitioning from one environment to another and one social issue that I care about.

The signal was bad though so we had to switch to phone call

Good luck. You got this just be confident and fake it till you make it if you don't feel confident. Also, remember to look into the camera!

Thank You! Good tip about the camera stuff, I was looking at the camera but also caught myself looking at her a lot because I was like "my future is in this persons hands...just look at her...what is she thinking.... o.O"

Okay so interview is down.

1. Not AS bad as some people have been saying.
2. Was it more "dry" than the average interview, yes, but rightfully so. However, I did her to smile/laugh SOOOO... KOBE!
3. Did I catch myself under pressure and off balance yes but I think this a good thing.
4. The interviewer was a nice person and I think that they did in fact care about my responses. I do think people may be conflating "serious and professional" with "mean".

Interesting questions asked, in addition to the other ones mentioned here was one about a "social issue important to me".

My numbers are low. I'm debating whether to rescind my ED and switch to RD so that I can submit an ED App for UVA or Duke. I anticipate getting wait-listed for all three, but I feel I have a better shot at UVA/Duke taking me off of a waitlist if I do a retake in February than I would with Chicago. Any thoughts?
