I applied a moth ago and the status check still says "we have received your application." Is anyone else experiencing this? Is it strange that I'm not UR yet?

I applied 11/05 and im under review, figured i wouldnt get in though my GPA isnt at Berkeley level.

I applied early September and it took about 5 1/2 weeks to update to UR, so I wouldn't worry.

Has anyone been denied or WL? if not, does anyone know when Berkeley usually sends those out?

It is early for rejections/waitlists. Berkeley has a faculty review. So applicants that admissions think are strong but not auto admits are sent to faculty review. That takes place in January and I think you hear back by February. Most of the waitlisted applicants will come out of FR because it is an indication that you are still a strong applicant (to at least make it to FR). Some dings will probably go out in January. Hang in there! It is early!

Congrats to the new admits! Please do everything within your power (especially since they reimburse you at least $200) to attend their admitted students weekend. The Berkeley campus is beautiful.

On an unrelated note, has any admit received an email/a welcome package? I missed the call last year, so Dean Tom sent me a congratulatory email. That email was followed by several other emails from the Berkeley community. I have not received any of these emails this year, and Iam wondering whether it is because it is only November (as opposed to January...), or if they have an incorrect email address for me...

Dean Tom said the packages are going out the first week of December. I haven't received any e-mails.

I went UR on 10/29 and initially submitted my app about a week prior to that. There's still no update on the status check online, by the way.
I received the call from the dean around 11 this morning.
