Correct the dings came for the non-FR folks. FR FOLKS seemed to have received their decision on the date mentioned in the FR email (more or less)

I'd give up a few fingers to go to Boalt...

Soo consensus is if you did not move from Under Review to Faculty Review, and have not been outright accepted - you're probably out?

Read 20+ pages of last year's thread and was just getting to UR dings after 1st wave of FR accepts/dings so I haven't been able to confirm yet, but as far as i know that is not necessarily true. You need FR to be WL, but if still UR then it can go either way (in or ding)

When one's application goes complete does the status checker actually say "complete" anywhere?

Anyone else get an oddly specific letter from the Dean stating app is under review which will begin on a specific date (for me it says tomorrow) and I'll hear back on a decision on or before Feb 6th?

Yes, that's the faculty admissions review committee (FR) letter a bunch of us got. There's some good discussion on this page and the last about who got it/what it means.

So what happens to the rest of us who went UR a while back (12/8 for me) but didn't get a letter for FR? Are we either autodings or autoaccepts?

Not necessarily. Last year it looks like they had two waves of FR, so if you didn't get in the first one you may get into the second one

Same here. Also at the top of the page is "Your application at UC Berkeley Law School has passed an initial administrative review and has been selected for further consideration by the Faculty Admissions Committee."

My notes say that it changed from "Received" to "Complete." It took about 2 weeks for that to happen for me.
