I think mine took a few days, definitely within a week.angels2fly wrote:How long from the "app received email" till we get the status checker?

I received my status checker 1 day after my application was received. This was in early October.
For what it's worth, the status checker is largely useless. Mine said "complete" for several days after being accepted, and the date didn't change through review (or even tell me if I was in review).

This. I was fairly nervous it was a prank after getting the call and the status checker not updating.cannibal ox wrote:I received my status checker 1 day after my application was received. This was in early October.

Received the phone call yesterday (a day after submitting my requested "Why Texas"). She was extremely nice and even joked around. She told me that they will be reviewing me for scholarships next week. Is that normal?

Congrats. Was it Dean Ingram? She was exceptionally nice, and even took the time to meet me when I was visiting and hadn't scheduled anything.anubis1911 wrote:Received the phone call yesterday (a day after submitting my requested "Why Texas"). They said schollies would be out mid to late January, so normal.

Invite to Admitted students facebook page, but no letter, email, or status update. I'm assuming I just missed the call?

Oh. My. God. Some dental insurance spam company got ahold of my number this week, so I've gotten an incredible amount of stupid scam calls from Texas over the last few days. Every time I see 512 my heart stops.

So don't stress until you see that number
Or, just take my approach: don't expect an acceptance then get super excited when you get a call from that number. I actually was out skydiving and missed the call because I was in the air.

I got my acceptance call today from Dean Ingram! I met her at an LSAC forum in November and she couldn't be nicer.
Went complete early November, but my application updated for the Dec. LSAT last week.

I am so looking forward to admitted students weekend, if only for the brisket tacos at Torchy's.

Torchy's is so good. I have to try my hardest not to go there every day.musharraf wrote:I got my acceptance call today from Dean Ingram! I met her at an LSAC forum in November and she couldn't be nicer.

Do you mind posting a link to the c/o 2017 thread? I'm old and this forum confuses me sometimes.
