And Nep, you're a much better person than I am if you're actually managing not to be greedy/impatient despite favorable responses.

12/14/12 was a Friday, which could be telling. Often times schools like to send out the first large batch of admissions on Fridays to blunt the inevitable deluge of all kinjds of calls and queries. It is the same admissions brain-trust at Penn so who knows?

I can't believe you people now have me small balling this stuff to the nth degree.

Checking in. Penn ED under review since 11/15. Not sure if this is UR1 or UR2 (assuming UR2). Wasn't expecting to hear back until next week, but now I'm very hopeful to hear something today, or at least for someone to hear something today

I know, I'm losing hope for today being the day. If we have to wait another week I'll have to go back to the store for another bottle of wine, which I don't want to do AGAIN. The girl at the register is going to judge me.

LOL! Awesome.

I sorta doubt that buying one bottle of wine a week falls into the proving grounds of "things that people who work at liquor stores take exceptional notice of" which is what makes this one of my all time favorite posts.

I dunno - maybe not many people applied and they're waiting for more to review before they make decisions?

I don't think I'd even mind the waiting so much - it's just having no idea when I'm gonna hear back that frays my nerves :(
