Congrats to all you early admits!
ED applicant checking in. Quick question: anyone know how Gtown feels about optional essays? Did any of you do them and if so which one? Trying to figure out if the effort would be worth the potential boost...

Submitted today. Are they serious about 8-12 weeks? Any hope of hearing back before December?

Re: Georgetown c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
For me it was surprisingly quick. I received the email on a Friday, heard from the alumnus on Monday and scheduled the interview immediately after.SaintsTheMetal wrote:How long did it take them to schedule you an interview, after they emailed you asking if you'll do one?mtrrw wrote:So I've completed an interview and have now had four updates (9/23, 10/12, 10/22, 10/23). Any idea what that means? I was questioning the applicability of the three update rule in my situation because of the interview. New four update corollary to the three update rule for interviewees?!?!
EDIT: All updates are complete updates.
Or anyone that can answer this...

ED applicant accepted this week. I wrote a diversity statement about my economic disadvantage because I actually had some and I think it worked well with my app. I didn't do any of the Gtown specific ones though. I felt like sometimes it is good to not write too much but just write what you do really well. Pretty much your call but don't force it.dynamic28 wrote:Congrats to all you early admits!

Re: Georgetown c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I wrote one optional essay. I'm a pretty serious splitter so I saw the option about learning from something you failed at as a big opportunity that would be almost conspicuous if I didn't do it.dynamic28 wrote:Congrats to all you early admits!

For those of you who have been accepted via mail, does it come in a package or just a regular small envelope? Thanks!

Ughh this wait is killing me. I am an ED applicant who went complete on 10/1 with a third update on 10/19 and my letter still hasn't come - this is getting ridiculous, especially seeing so many other ED applicants with the same complete dates getting their letters days ago...
I wonder if it was lost in the mail...

Re: Georgetown c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Just got invited to interview (3.2/170) I guess they mainly do this for people on the fringes. Curious if anyone who has had an interview has received a decision on their app. I went complete 10/9--->10/18 update---->10.24 update/interview invite. They are saying that it may take two weeks to schedule the interview so hopefully there is a quick turn around. I really just want to get ONE T14 acceptance out of the way before the waitlists start coming.

That makes sense. They have to mail yours out by 10/25- 21 days from your complete date. Good luck, man. I hope you get great news.TheThriller wrote:Received & Complete 10/4, update on 10/11 and then today 10/24Manhattanman wrote:When did you go complete?
