holy hell...received $25,000 in need-based grants! seriously was not expecting that. not really expecting much, if anything, in merit-based aid since i'm below their medians for LSAT and GPA.

I just got the invitation to ASW by email. However, like other posters here I have not received an acceptance yet and my application is still under eval. Lawl school.

Update:

I visited the status check and my application has now gone from Under Evaluation to Received status! Their line was busy so I'll be trying again later. I'm leaning really hard to sending off a deposit elsewhere now. Interesting cycle. Some schools have been incredibly responsive and informative but the Cali schools have so far been below 25th percentile on my personal Law School Admissions Admissions Test (LSAAT).

No matter what, they should have it before the deposit deadline, otherwise people will simply not go. I know I wouldn't.

I submitted 1/8 and just went to "Evaluation in Progress" yesterday....ridiculous! i have heard back from 10 other schools that I applied to AFTER UC-D. Before this painfully drawn out process, I would have 100% gone to Davis as my husband works there but now...I am mentally/emotionally prepared to go elsewhere...so even if I (am lucky and) get accepted, I really don't feel the positive vibes towards D anymore.

While I am shocked that I was even accepted with my scores and thrilled to have the opportunity to attend....I am going to WD from UC-Davis. Being out of state and seeing the aid I received just makes attending there not an option. I hope my spot goes quickly to someone who is waiting and would love to attend and be able to do so.

now what about merit aid? reading this i understood that that would be made available april 2? is that true? i did not see any merit scholarships when i logged into my uc davis account thing..does that mean they did not give me anything? or will they be letting us know later?

So what you received after filling out fafsa and need access was an estimate of what you would be awarded (need-based). On April 2nd, this award became official and available. They will be sending out merit scholarships via e-mail. I talked to the admission office yesterday and they said (hopefully) they will have them out by next week, althought they had planned for mid-March so who knows.

Yeah, I'm sure a lot of people also forgot that they applied to this school. Actually, this is entirely possible, but it always amuses me when people forget where they have applied.

haha, i had no idea how my cycle would go so i went a bit overboard. is davis notoriously slow or am i one of the only people left waiting? next week i'll actually be flying to california from the east coast to visit 3 other schools...any idea when i should expect to hear back?
this kind of reminds me of how i hadn't heard back from boston college in time to swing by when i went to boston university's asw even though i applied to bc earlier in the cycle. by the time bc accepted me (3/27), i had kinda moved on...
