You can write a letter of continuing interest, as it kind of forces them to pull up your file. Also, consider personalizing it and sending it to an admissions officer. You can find their names on the website.

Guys PM me the facebook event! Just booked tickets to NYC for the ASD on Mar.22 and would love to hang out with lovely (future) Cardozo people after that or on Friday (lol lifelong midwest/west coast girl and doesn't have any friend in the city yet)

Cardozo dropped from rank 50 to 56 this year.

It is no longer a Tier 1 law school.

Generally speaking there exists a correlation between ranking and employment rate at graduation. In addition there exists a correlation between ranking and the number of employers who are represented at OCI.

I suspect that Cardozo's drop from a Tier 1 to tier 2 law school will directly effect the number of employers who show up to OCI.

Well Cardozo is a regional school: that means relative ranking compared to other schools matters more than general ranking

as long as Cardozo ranks higher than peer schools in NYC market (Brooklyn, St.John, etc.) it should be fine... (though in this economy only a handful of schools are actually "fine")

That only matters if those were the only ponies in the race. In NYC market you are going up against T14 Grads and Fordham. Available jobs outside of SI for Dozo grads are scarce, so it does matter.

Not sure yet. I was at work so they left a voicemail with an acceptance and scholly.

Well, it is quite obvious that T14 Grads get priority placement into whatever market they choose but outside of that, Fordham places significantly better than Cardozo (also quite obvious). BigLaw (NYC) goes something like this for recruiting: T14-->Few T20 Schools/Fordham (likely need to finish top40-50% for good chance)-->Cardozo (likely need to finish top20-25% for good chance)--Brooklyn-->Seton Hall/Rutgers (NY)/St Johns, etc...

HI! Congrats to everyone who was accepted to Cardozo

As for those who are starting in May, what are you doing about housing? I'm trying to find an apt or sublet something close to the school (hopefully within walking distance). I would love school housing, but I hear it's hard to get into.
Soooo anyone else looking for a roommate? or maybe know of anyone who is? Please contact me!
