Considering SMU offered 78,000, I'm pretty disappointed in the offer. I most likely won't even attempt to negotiate.

on their website the mandatory curve is between 2.9-3.1 so I guess somewhere between median and top 3/4. Anyone have any luck negotiating?

Was admitted 1-9 but still no scholarship info or status update. Starting to think I'm not getting any $$$$. Thoughts?

I was admitted a little later and I have yet to see a scholarship. I am giving them another week then I will try and negotiate one.

I have been under review for over 2 months with numbers that shouldn't be such a tough decision and good softs and in state. I have gotten into several T25 schools at this point I don't even care about Houston. Is it rude to email them and just say don't bother to save the time or will I just look like a jerk.

I know this process is frustrating, but I don't think you have anything to gain by doing that. We don't know enough about U of H's internal processes. For all you know, they could be waiting to see how much money they can give you.

Last year I applied late too, around mid-January, and didn't hear back that I was waitlisted until late April.

I feel your pain. I've also been in review for 2 months and have already been accepted to much higher ranked schools. I'm still holding out for U of H though because it's one of my top choices (due to affordability and location).

Even if I got a full scholarship I don't think I would go anymore. I am a splitter and originally never thought I would get in some of the places that I have so UH was a serious consideration. Now it just seems irrelevant especially since I got into STX with $$ so if I wanted into the Houston market...I just feel like now I'm wasting the admissions committees time.

It shouldn't be an issue at all. In fact, they only let admitted students sit in on the class (it was an actual lecture though) and had a seperate program for the guests to attend. I don't know what the other program was, but I would imagine it was more entertaining for those that aren't interested in the law. Being a mock class it would likely be a different story. I would e-mail admissions if you really want to know if your SO can come to the mock class with you.
