ED will here back around Christmas (or so said Admissions) and RD will hear back early January.

Wow UR as well. Wouldn't have checked if not for you guys. This is strange. First group went UR around Nov 25th in last year's thread. Could a school actually be ahead of the curve instead of behind the typical this year? We shall see. It'd sure be nice given the delays everywhere else.

How can LSAT25 drop? I thought everything just went up for all schools year after year.

I'm a reverse splitter too 168/3.9+ who applied ED to NYU but now I'm kicking myself b/c NYUs 25 went UP to 170 and U of C's dropped to 167. Originally I thought NYU was the better strategic ED reach bc I thought larger class size would let them want to hook more >75gpas early on. Then I saw new 25 LSAT #s. Whooops.

I am serious. All I see is GPAs and LSATs going up at T-14 schools every year, making them tougher to get in. I was surprised that CLS's percentiles are almost Harvards' for LSAT. Wouldn't a school drop in rankings if their LSATs went down? Why would they do it? For diversity? I don't see diversity as a factor in the USNWR calculation method. I could be wrong, maybe it is there.

The median is all that matters for the rankings.jim-green wrote:I am serious. All I see is GPAs and LSATs going up at T-14 schools every year, making them tougher to get in. Re: Chicago c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Thanks, that explains it. As long as the median holds, a school can drop its LSAT25 then. I'm new to all this. Didn't know Law School applications and rankings had become an industry of its own till very recently. It's not the case in Science. I mean people know MIT is better than ASU, but it is not an industry in itself. Is there a website that has average rankings for each school over the last 10 years or so? I know NYU has moved between 4-6 and even Stanford was lower than 3 quite recently. So, I'm wondering if there is a website that has avg rankings, say 4.5 for NYU or 3.67 for Stanford, etc., (just my own examples).Tiago Splitter wrote:The median is all that matters for the rankings.

Thanks, TS. It's interesting that HLS was 5 in 1990.Tiago Splitter wrote:http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 1&t=150358So, I'm wondering if there is a website that has avg rankings, say 4.5 for NYU or 3.67 for Stanford, etc., (just my own examples).

I'm still not UR, but I only went complete on 10/11 - is anyone who submitted around the first of October under review yet? Just wondering.

Huge waste. My guess is you'll get in with $lsatcrazy wrote:167/172, 3.97. This thread just got a lot more relevant to my interests. UChi is definitely my first choice. EDing would be a waste, though, right?

I honestly don't think so. I didn't and I don't know many people who did.lsatcrazy wrote:Cool, thanks. Any point in a Why Chi?Hawkeye Pierce wrote:Huge waste. If you really wanted, you could try tailoring your PS to them -- but only if it doesn't come across as forced.
