Funny, this is the exact plan I have as well.krad wrote:cue instant nerves and incessant gmail checking... Good luck peeps!

This might be a dumb question, but what's the logic behind withdrawing applications before getting a decision? At the very least, couldn't you get scholarship offers that you could use to leverage money from the schools you DO want to go to?Gotti wrote:RJ127 wrote:This could be a cycle ender for me. with this acceptance, all apps will be withdrawn except SLS, Mich, NYU and Boalt. Even then, SLS and NYU are the only ones that will make me forgo NU

Sounds pretty interesting to me! Good luck to you. I did the same (wrote them all). Need all the help I can get. It's a HUGE reach, a real long shot, but who knows.xtine wrote:I just wrote all of them. It meant this was my last app submitted and like a few weeks after the others, so I'm hoping it pays off! My project management essay was a bit abnormal. My job is boring, so I wrote about a time I had to lead 9 non-Chinese speakers halfway across China and all of the ridiculous things that went wrong and I had to fix since I was the only person that spoke any Chinese and what I learned from it. Hopefully they'll think that's cool and not off-topic...BHDLaw wrote:Clearly not concentrating either! Since we're all staring here and at email....let's be productive. Which additional essays did you write?
Good luck to everyone!

Aww crap.
No significant WE, but I think my interviewer liked me and my LSAT is above their 75th.

I applied on a whim and didn't write any of the optional essays.. hmm, probably going to come back and bite me. Maybe if I don't get a decision this round I'll update my app.

My PS covered diversity and a lot of my work related experiences/projects. I did write the Why NU and I think my interview went pretty well [I hope its enough!]

If you know there's no way you'd attend, it will open up a spot for other applicants that would die to go to said school... Plus you'd need a peer school scholarship to negotiate and there's no way I'd be getting $ from an NU peer school.xtine wrote:This might be a dumb question, but what's the logic behind withdrawing applications before getting a decision? Re: Northwestern 2011 Applicants
lol my third essay must have been a twist on the diversity statement talking about what I'd contribute. I made it totally non-work-related.
I told them in my Why NU that they were my #1 choice, I wonder if that counts for anything... Anyone else do this? Like I flat out said something like NU is my top choice for law school. Though, I probably avoided using the 'is'.

Lol yeah I said "top choice" for all of my top choices. I figured it was more honest than saying flat out #1. But it might be a nice kicker for adcomms. Who knows. 3 years WE as well. Significant law firm experience.krad wrote:lol my third essay must have been a twist on the diversity statement talking about what I'd contribute. I made it totally non-work-related.

Woah.
IN!! with 3.56/171/8yrs WE.
I didn't do an interview, and did one optional essay on wanting to do public interest law, I think. (Brain's a little scrambled and I'm having a hard time remembering.)

True. I guess the only good thing is if your inbox blows up you know it's an admit!
