Re: Santa Clara University 2014
Got a new IC date 2/4 - been complete since 1/24 and this is my second IC date. I feel like such a creep for noticing such a slight change. I need to get a life...but I just want Santa Clara so badly, I can't help it.

Same here. My IC date also updated. We'll be creeps together (but I think it is normal on this site).

Yeah, definitely found my 'creepy crew'. My bf has threatened to block access to my status checkers because he thinks it's "unhealthy". Easy for him to say, he's at Stanford and life is good.stheskier wrote:Same here. My IC date also updated. We'll be creeps together (but I think it is normal on this site).

Mines had a second IC date as of 1/31..... it seems that most people seem to get a decision within two weeks of the second IC.

Re: Santa Clara University 2014
So basically, I am a reject? Seems like everyone who was admitted was notified by status checker. So "Decision Mailed" means I am likely awaiting a letter of denial?imalongshot wrote:Status checker changed today (2/3) to "Decision Mailed"
*nervous smile*
For those curious:
- I submitted my application on 11/1 (early admission)
- File was held for regular review on 12/3 (because of December LSAT)
- Application went complete on 1/24
Anyone enlighten me?

Got a nifty lanyard/ luggage tag thing from SC. I know it's small and dumb, but when you're having a miserable cycle, the little things really count

I had really hoped that there was a free/reimbursement payment for airline tickets on that link. No such luck :/

IN!!!!!!!!!!!! to Santa Clara just now via Status Checker - "Admitted"
Decision Letter sent - under mailings.
Went complete 12/28, IC 1/8ish then date change to 2/7 (today). Few hours later, "Admitted" replaced IC.
SOOOOO pumped! Really interested in SC, and hoping for any scholly in the letter.
Good luck to the rest!

Re: Santa Clara University 2014
Not yet, but I was just thinking about timing. I've been waiting on one school to make a decision 'cause the ABA says their median grant is nearly 30k, and they're a little higher than SCU in the rankings.
Everyone says to do it in March when people start withdrawing. I know the US News Rankings are also leaked in early March usually. So with that second piece of info I was trying to figure out what will be the best course of action: If I get a good deal from [unnamed school] now do I wait until the rankings come out? But by then maybe the school will fall OR it could get higher and I could lose money I could have gained from their rise in rank. This is the diplomatic turmoil I've been dealing with all day at work.
I have good deals from OoS schools that are ranked much higher, but I figure that won't help negotiations as much since they're on the opposite side of the country. I imagine it going down like this; "Well, you're financial options are not much better at any other school in the area, so unless you want to be stuck on the East Coast take what we give you or stay there."
And now I'm worried about this being read by them, and actually being used as the excuse!
