no movement at all today on LSN. Either UCLA is off to a slow start or people are busy celebrating their acceptances and not updating the rest of us

According to the UCLA Law website, their administrative offices will be closed 12/18 - 1/2. Hopefully all of us early decision people will get decisions by the 18th. Within this optimistic timeline, we only have 14 days to wait.

Re: UCLA? 2011
I think this is fairly typical among UC offices (admissions and otherwise). I work on one campus and since we get 2 paid holidays for Christmas and 2 for New Years, it's common for units to just shut down for both weeks so that people can take a long break. Not sure about other schools, though...silly101 wrote:omgadamdroog wrote:According to the UCLA Law website, their administrative offices will be closed 12/18 - 1/2. I work at a UC. It's generally left to the discretion of individual departments/offices whether they work the 27th-29th, but almost all choose to shut down for the week.

Of course they take the whole time off. They're government employees.

They probably want to work. The UC employees have been saddled with furlough days. I wouldn't be surprised if this was mandated by administration to cut costs.
