It was a call from my Mom telling me about about her piano concert last night.

Re: Columbia Reserve 2010
no. My money is on CLS being over-enrolled. They're not going to the waitlist, which makes this giant reserve pool puzzling to say the least.

Tick Tock.....no call yet. I have to sign a lease next week and start my move in time to be settled.
I keep trying to push my move in date out just in case I get a call.
Whats that old saying : a watched phone never rings!

I finally broke down and called admissions today. The lady basically said they are still in process of reviewiing applications and sending out decisions daily. Very ambiguous. I signed a lease for my new apartment today.

Don't mistake this for actual hope, but I guess it's good that they're 'reviewing applications.' Maybe though by 'reviewing' they meant 'looking through the application for the mailing address to write on the inevitable thin envelopes.'

Also, I'm pretty sure they email or call people accepted off the WL.

yes. their orientation begins on monday. Hopefully with some of us (me) at it. But it's time to get used to reality.
I actually appreciated having this vague hope. It has helped me deal with it slowly instead in one blow.

XD @ still no letter a couple days before orientation. Why wouldn't they just send them out sooner?

Re: Columbia Reserve 2010
I am out as well. Received my letter at some point this weekend (either Friday or Saturday) in NJ. I was away in VA and came home to THIS, lol. I think it was post-marked the 11th, but I'm not sure since I ripped it up and threw it away after reading. I wasn't bitter at all... it was sort of like a release. *shrug*. They tell us "think about transferring next may/june" though. Yay for optimism. =P lol (good luck to all of you still waiting!)

Think of it as a soft rejection.lawgod wrote:perhaps we should rename this thread:

more like strung along for 10 months, lol
I barely even read my letter, just the first two sentences... I didn't notice the transfer bit on it.... if there even was one...

Re: Columbia Reserve 2010
My stepdad called me and told me I got a thin letter from Columbia. I thought he said I got an IN letter from Columbia and I just about had a heart attack (especially seeing as I moved to UCLA two weeks ago), but no. I think I'm relieved, honestly.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
