Ivy grad, applied after playing professional football for a year
The thing is that I did really well on the interview. He literally told me that he would recommend me for admittance.

I thought this was really cool too. I did a little research on Google and I think I figured out who this was, but I don't want to be a creep and I don't want to oust anyone.PapantlaFlyer wrote:WTF? Really??? What team?peyso wrote:Another waitlist

It's a shame that Law School is such a numbers game. A person like you should have a chance... I'm sure you'll find a T1 school who respects what you've done.

I can only think of one Ivy grad who's in the NFL, but he's still playing so it couldn't be him...but then again peyso didn't say he's not playing anymore so...wackjickham wrote:I thought this was really cool too. Nope, I don't think Ryan Fitzpatrick is headed to law school any time soon. But if the Wonderlic was the LSAT he'd be a shoo-in at Yale.

I had my interview Dec 7th I think, so it took 2+ weeks. But if they admit you I expect it might be quicker.
I think I didn't put as much effort into the interview as I could/should have, because I had found out that I'd gotten into NYU 2 hours before......

In my interview I sounded like a typical TLS 0L. I had a really bad feeling coming out of it. For whatever reason I was way better at my NU interview even though the questions asked were harder.tintin wrote:I had my interview Dec 7th I think, so it took 2+ weeks. Quick question- I applied to Georgetown PT regular decision. Due to certain circumstances, it is now the only school I really want to attend. I have not received a decision yet. Does it matter if I wait for the decision before shooting an email saying that I would attend if accepted?

I would wait. It won't really help your cause to do it now; perhaps a short letter explaining your circumstances after some sort of decision would be well-advised.gulc2046 wrote:Quick question- I applied to Georgetown PT regular decision. On and off the Miami Dolphins practice squad.
I know Ryan well and played against him once, he's a cool guy.

Also preferred waitlist..... I can't decide if being deferred is better than PWL or not....

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
It depends on how many people actually stay on the PWL. They accept between 25-50 off of the PWL and typically the PWL is a list of about 400-500 names. That being said - you have to assume that about 200-300 people withdraw from the WL... so your odds could be as bad as 25/500 or as great as 50/200.... speaking to both extremes.Encyclopedia Brown wrote:Preferred waitlist via e-mail. Anybody know the odds of being accepted off the preferred WL?
That's what my research has told me... other insights are welcome!

i guess i should just withdraw since there's no way i'll be going there anyhow.....
I was kind of expecting this because I kinda botched my interview.
How did you find out; (when) did your status change to DR? Thanks.
Same - I checked last night and it was still UR. Got the email this afternoon about PWL.

Yeah but it sounds like they only send acceptances via snail mail...and if the decision were anything else you'd have an email! Good luck!

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
got a tiny enevelope from georgetown saying i am accepted. LOL...this is so unexpected. I listed my school address in application but they sent this to my home, where i am right now. They even have some hand writings in the letter, pretty personal and sweet.
Thanks georgetown, there is a pretty big chance i will end up there. It's one of my fav schools.

Have all of the acceptances so far come in small envelopes (as opposed to big packets)?
