I heard they were moving to the correspondence school model to cut costs.

I heard they were being acquired by the University of Phoenix to be their new law school branch. That should really help CLS's brand.

No worries! If it hadn't been for the fee waiver, I probably wouldn't have applied -- I knew I didn't have a chance in hell!

The letter was dated 02/09, but it only arrived yesterday. That said, I'm on the West Coast and the USPS just came off of a three-day holiday.

The letter was dated 02/09, but it only arrived yesterday. That said, I'm on the West Coast and the USPS just came off of a three-day holiday.

well, UofP is a nation-wide, you know? I think it'll really help with the name recognition that Columbia is currently lacking.

Not to mention UofP's large, well qualified student base will allow CLS to draw a large number of spectacular applicants who would never even have considered it before due to its tenuous accreditation and strong association with drug cartels.

The wording of mine was quite kind? Some highlights:

"After careful consideration of your application for admissions, we regret to inform you that we are unable to take favorable action."

"We share your disappointment...[that we are] unable to accept many candidates who we felt would have made a significant contribution to our Law School."

"We wish you much success and satisfaction at your law school of choice and beyond, throughout your career."
