i don't think it was YP--hardly anyone gets in with lower than a 164, and WUSTL seems to be looking for AAs, which I am not (Mex-American). I think it was just meh, your LSAT sucked. There seems to be a pretty clear wall at 167--even sub 3.0's seem to get in with that score based on the LSN graph.JCougar wrote:Wow...you would think you would be in with that. Is it YP? True or False?
The hold list is a group of applicants they haven't made decisions on yet?
I.e. they could be rejected, accepted, or waitlisted?

Re: For WUSTL Applicants
LSN is misleading, because all the gunner applicants sign up for profiles. But remember, ~49% of WUSTL's entering class has an LSAT below 167. And last year, ~24% had LSATs below 161. Most of the people that are below that number are either reverse splitters with a GPA of over 3.7, or a URM.adrib wrote:i don't think it was YP--hardly anyone gets in with lower than a 164, and WUSTL seems to be looking for AAs, which I am not (Mex-American). Being that you are a URM, that your LSAT still helps the 25th %ile, and that your GPA likely helps their median, I think your chances of admission are pretty good. Non-URMs with your numbers were getting in early on. If you really want to go, write a LOCI and I think you will be in.

Re: For WUSTL Applicants
I already deposited at Texas. I really like WUSTL, but the only reason I didn't withdraw everywhere after UT accepted me was to get some more URM data on LSN. I think my profile will illustrate the importance of applying early (I applied in January), so I'm happy I held off, since I managed to get into my dream school anyway. You were so sweet to be so encouraging, though! Thank you <3JCougar wrote:LSN is misleading, because all the gunner applicants sign up for profiles. Re: For WUSTL Applicants
Then it definitely might be YP, because starting this year or last, some law schools joined a system and can see if you've put a seat deposit down somewhere else (as long as the school participates in this system). Dean Pless of Illinois was talking about it in another thread. Not sure if WUSTL or Texas are part of this system, but they might be.adrib wrote:I already deposited at Texas. Anyway, congrats on Texas. I LOVE Austin, and one of my best friends lives out there. I'll be going on a road trip out there in July this year after I quit my job but before law school starts.
WUSTL is pretty much my top choice (tied with Illinois) right now, but I'm a February retaker, and it took me until then to get the score I needed to get in.

Held:
170/2.x
so it seems almost down the line that held=splitter, wl=reverse splitter. I wonder which is better? high lsats are more rare, but if they have their medians maybe it was just an organizational move on their part...

Re: For WUSTL Applicants
I could be completely wrong but I don't think you are going to see any activity until a little after the May 1st deadline. There are still some of us (myself included) who have not received any kind of decision, whether it be accept, deny, waitlist, or hold. Therefore, I'm assuming (or maybe this is just wishful thinking) that they will make decisions on us before moving on to the hold/waitlist pile.Encyclopedia Brown wrote:This is good news. Re: For WUSTL Applicants
I think you're right. Looking at last year's LSN it appears a lot of decisions (for WL anyway) aren't made until after May 1 . . . and most after June 1.quadsixm wrote:

Re: For WUSTL Applicants
+1. Also, because WUSTL allows people to make a deposit and still get a refund if they change their mind by May 1, their class make-up is not as "etched in stone" as many schools after their first deposit. I know many people who put down the deposit but are unlikely to attend WUSTL. They will have to withdraw by May 1 to get their deposit back, so we may see movement starting in May. Bottom line: Those of you expecting movement soon are probably wrong. But I'm pulling for all of you!aspettando wrote:I could be completely wrong but I don't think you are going to see any activity until a little after the May 1st deadline.
