i don't buy dean z's "zing theory" at all. there is much more going on here. unless mich is the only school of the 15 T20s to which i applied who decided i didn't have any zing for them. i'm honestly not bitter with mich for YPing me, but i don't respect their denying their practices afterwards. and i saw a ton of people WLed on this thread who also received plentiful offers from better schools--i do not believe every other school chose based solely on gpa/lsat.

i know, it is a shame. i shall practice harder on my zing, particularly my backhand zing, which is my weakest shot.

This thread has clearly lost its Zing. The page count has exceeded Michigan's 75th percentile. I just don't think it would be a good fit. Its a shame too, because if it was reviewed a few days ago it most definetely had Zing then. I guess timing is everything.

So, can we quit talking about YP? She admitted it does happen, but that everything happens in shades of gray. I don't think us talking about it will get anyone admitted, and a lot of people who got WL'd because of it are in at better schools, so even though they might have really liked Michigan, they didn't get hurt all that badly.

I know the real gripe is in people denying YP, not that anyone is really all that mad they got YP'd (although some may be...), but it certainly makes for a disappointing visit to the forums when that's all we talk about it.

Does anybody know if any more Darrow Scholarships will be awarded this year?

No one really knows. It's probably possible for those that applied later and have recently been admitted, but not likely.
