I've played around with a *COPY* of the spreadsheet a bit. The sample size is prohibitively small for people around medians, but it looks like some very early submitters/non traditional applicants have had JS1's but a majority of ppl ITT around median haven't. Also a lot of anecdotal evidence to support this, although there's obviously going to be a strong bias in favor of people with no JS1's in anecdotes since they are more likely to post neurotically on internet forums.
No idea what this means chances wise.

I know that many of you are stressing out- but a pretty significant number of you that don't get a JS1 now will get one post WL, and some who have already had a JS1 will be admitted -either by 4/1 or post WL. Also the information that you have is not very representative! Besides the fact that people who post on TLS are a small percentage of the applicant class-many people do not post on these threads because they fear being outed- especially the 178-180 LSAT people/ people with unususal WE, etc.
However- judging by the recent Harvard parody performance most of the current classes at least lurked on TLS

. My advice to everyone-relax (while you can...before you are a 1L

). If for some reason you don't join us next year- you will have other great options! Good luck!
what is the harvard parody performance?

It is a hilarious performance by current students at HLS that makes fun of different parts of the students lives in different skits/songs relating to professors, dorms, administration, law jokes, TLS, etc. I HIGHLY recommend attending if admitted

I'm wondering if anyone has any reputable (but letsbehonest I'll take speculative) info on how many people get waitlisted and how many waitlisted candidates get accepted. Also once on the waitlisted is it basically you are in or you don't hear anything? Do people get rejections off the waitlist or no?

not sure about complete data, but here's some helpful LSN data:

hmm...interesting. so it looks like if you ride the wait list you have okay odds of being admitted. obviously a crap ton of variables in play tho

Approximately 20-30% of the class are admitted off of the WL. Everyone that stays on the WL will be accepted or rejected. Some years the WL favors those with high GPA's sometimes those with high LSAT's- it is whatever Harvard needs to maintain its averages. Also- if a large number of URM's choose to go elsewhere they try to fill those slots with other URM's. The reason that it is so difficult to figure out what they are looking for is that you are looking at a very small piece of the puzzle

Praying this infamous 180 post will be what I need to tip on over into JS2 land (along with other late January early Feb JS1s).
Edit: I've made a huge mistake.

ASW starts Saturday. The rest of the office might be busy prepping tomorrow, but only JS needs to be free to do the calls. Plus, remember that there were never any JS1 slots open Friday afternoon, so the rest of the staff is already free for prep.
Here's to hoping. Then maybe I can live my life instead of constantly re-surveying my chances...
