Congratulations! Can I ask if you were held prior to this, or is this the first you've heard back from Columbia?

Thanks. Never held. First thing I've heard from them since going complete.checkers wrote:Congratulations! Can I ask if you were held prior to this, or is this the first you've heard back from Columbia?

My top choice, but have yet to hear anything.

Complete 3/6
LSAT 50%
GPA 25%
I believe I read a post saying that there had been more acceptances by this time last year. Does anyone have any opinions on that - can we get our hopes up for a wave of acceptances?

I think that's a really late application in the cycle for your number one choice.wade wrote:My top choice, but have yet to hear anything.

There should be a big wave this week, and then not much hope afterwards.

Welp, somehow made it to April. It's been a longggggg road (almost entirely of waiting, with a spurt of activity for that LOCI) since November. Seems unreal that for sure in four weeks, it will all be over.

I went complete in the third week of January... Is anyone with me? I'm afraid my decision was lost in the mail or something... Haven't heard anything-- rejection, reserve, or hold

I got my application in right near the deadline. Still not complete. Even if I were complete, I have a snowball's chance of getting in.lawlorbust wrote:is anyone not yet complete?

I don't know how you've survived that wait - it is killing me. You know it's bad when you're checking lsn on your phone bc you stepped away from your computer.waferthinmint wrote:Welp, somehow made it to April. Is there a specific day this week we could look for activity? Do they usually have a pattern or are decisions given on random days?

I applied 2/26 and have not yet gone complete. Should I email CLS about this or just wait it out?

Some have reported waiting for as much as 2 months before going complete. It'll happen eventually.elle.woods8 wrote:I applied 2/26 and have not yet gone complete. Should I email CLS about this or just wait it out?

The best answer you'll get is by asking the magic eight ball, and then you have to do it in the form of a yes or no question.chizzy wrote:does anyone know when final decisions will be made?
Those held on Feb 21st will hear something by April 25th, but other than that I know of no other important dates.

I interviewed over five weeks ago, and have heard absolutely nothing since (despite their FAQ saying I would receive an answer in "approximately two weeks"). Is this abnormal?

April 25 at the latest.chizzy wrote:does anyone know when final decisions will be made?
I called to ask this and they said "by late April," and then my Hold letter said the above date, so I take it that April 25 is the last day for decisions for everyone. (Except those on Reserve, probably? Don't know how that works.)

Re: Columbia c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
How could I realistically consider them if they get back to me that late? Isn't the deposit deadline May 1? Not giving much time for scholarship negotiation and the like...waferthinmint wrote:April 25 at the latest.chizzy wrote:does anyone know when final decisions will be made?

You'd think they would have at least responded to everyone who applied on January by now. But nope.

Or it'd at least be nice if they had an application tracker/website like most other schools so you could at least see when you're under review

I'd call or something if I were you. I couldn't imagine such an egregious wait
