Put on SP WL on 2/17; sent LOCI by email to Alison Spada on 2/17. Got a reply/acknowledgment from her on 2/22. Nothing else since. No online updates since 2/17. Should I send another brief email/LOCI to keep things alive?

I was put on the Special WL about 3 weeks ago, but saw a couple of updates on my status check the last couple of days with the last one coming on 3/12. I just requested a password on the Admitted Students Page, and it was sent to me. Does this mean that I am in?

Probably! Congrats. Did your country of citizenship update to USA too?Barca10 wrote:I was put on the Special WL about 3 weeks ago, but saw a couple of updates on my status check the last couple of days with the last one coming on 3/12. My country of citizenship is not the US, so it has been set as Mexico since I applied.

Hi everyone, sorry if the is repetition but I was just able to generate a ASW password and it was sent to my email, but I couldn't sign in, does it usually take a few days to register?
Also most importantly does this mean i am def 100 percent in?

You are 100% in. Congratulations! It usually takes 4 business days for it to work.wisconsin2dc wrote:Hi everyone, sorry if the is repetition but I was just able to generate a ASW password and it was sent to my email, but I couldn't sign in, does it usually take a few days to register?

I as well was placed in a special group on the preferred waitlist. Had a few status updates, with the last being 3/12, and update to USA. After reading the above posts, just tried to generate username and password, and it was just sent to my email. So I guess I'm in too

Have you guys been emailing LOCIs to the admissions email address or sending via snail mail?

I've been using email for convenience. The risk is that because Georgetown has so many applicants it's possible no one will read itGreen Glass Windows wrote:Have you guys been emailing LOCIs to the admissions email address or sending via snail mail?

Do you really think snail mail would be any better?unlicensedpotato wrote:I've been using email for convenience. I specifically asked and they said use emails. Also, after sending in a LOCI via email, I emailed several days later to make sure they place it into my admissions file, and they sent me a confirmation later. So sending it in via email worksunlicensedpotato wrote:I've been using email for convenience. Okay, one more question. Should I put the letter in the body of the email or as an attachment? (LOCI newb here.)

does anyone know how much of a difference in chance of admission there is between waitlist and preferred waitlist?

Re: Georgetown c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Most schools will print both the email and any attachments so the difference should be negligible. That said, for an LOCI it seems easier to structure as a letter within the email, whereas some type of Why GULC statement is easier to structure as an attachment.citygirl000 wrote:Green Glass Windows wrote:Okay, one more question. I put mine in the body of the email but I'm sure it doesn't really matter....

Re: Georgetown c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
If you are on the regular wait list I would have a pessimistic outlook but only because there is a special group within the preferred wait list that they are still moving through. As far as the quantitative difference, I have no idea. (I'm on the preferred wait list but not in the special group and am not expecting to hear anything until after the first deposit)sangr wrote:does anyone know how much of a difference in chance of admission there is between waitlist and preferred waitlist?

3rd update for me today... Comp 3/7, 3/12, 3/15... No USA yet and no interview request.
How many updates have people generally had before being asked to interview, getting accepted w/o an interview, or getting dinged?
Sorry if this has been answered already, but the search feature on TLS is terrible, and I couldn't find a solid answer in the last 20 pages... just trying to gauge my chances...

I was put on the special preferred, and i was just asked to group interview. I was really hoping to get in without having to do that, getting to the interview will be a pain in the butt. But oh well
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
