Hi Everyone,
I usually don't post, but I have a quick question. I recently found out via status checker that I was admitted. I have not even received an email yet, but how are people notified if they received a scholarship? Does that come much later? Just hoping....
Thanks!

WAIT FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP LETTER TO COME IN THE MAIL. TRUST NOTHING UNTIL IT IS IN YOUR HANDS.

this reminds me of when there's a roomful of angry people in a Mexican stand-off and some joker comes running in with a hilariously non-serious commentteacher10456 wrote:Hi Everyone,

Seriously, an explanation shouldn't take that long. Also, don't edit it in...then we have to keep refreshing that page instead of the whole thread.crabcakes wrote:TELL US WHAT HAPPENED USERNAME!InGoodFaith wrote:Didn't even apply here, but lurking because of the drama. Can we get an update?

180. I think everyone still waiting should just chill and wait for the USPS to work its magic.blowhard wrote:Maybe this is the danger of looking online before a letter is mailed? Not positive, but if it's going to change I'd guess it would be before a letter was mailed.ScrabbleChamp wrote:What appears to get lost in this whole shuffle, and maybe I just overlooked it, is how Dean Z stated the TLSer's file is still being processed by financial aid. If that's the case, how would username08 even have been able to see an amount on the ASW? I don't know when username08 was admitted, but from reading back through the posts today, it seems like he/she had that information (the scholarship) for awhile, given that he/she was afraid fall grades may lower the amount. How did username08 see the amount if the file was still being processed by financial aid?

This thread has been nothing short of AMAZING the last few weeks. Fights, lies, betrayal, deceit. This makes me want to attend ASW that much more now!

This is most certainly the ugly side of TLS. I thought gunning was reserved for 1L.
As much as I'm bummed about the things going on in this thread, I'm more and more impressed with Michigan and the transparency Dean Z and the admissions department employ. From what I've seen, it's largely unparalleled.

I think is an example of Dean Z being too transparent, though.bobbyh1919 wrote:This is most certainly the ugly side of TLS. I thought gunning was reserved for 1L.

I feel like it humanizes an otherwise very mechanical and difficult process. She's the best I've seen at attempting to calm down applicants who are on the verge of breaking down.Samara wrote:I think is an example of Dean Z being too transparent, though.bobbyh1919 wrote:This is most certainly the ugly side of TLS. Wait... I'm confused? He/she is a 1L? I thought he/she stated they were on a journal and busy writing a note... I'm pretty sure he/she is a 2L.descartesb4thehorse wrote:outsidethescope wrote:I really hope everyone gets this out of their system before 1L.6thbackstreetboy wrote:This thread has been nothing short of AMAZING the last few weeks. I don't think you can be too transparent. I mean, how can you not like her when she takes action immediately when she finds out there is an issue? Name another school that would have acted as quickly as she/Michigan did?bobbyh1919 wrote:I feel like it humanizes an otherwise very mechanical and difficult process.
