Just got put on reserve. Is that the same as waitlist? The letter said they got over 6,000 applicants? How does that jive with the common wisdom that apps should be down this year from last?

I submitted my LOCI via email by responding to their held email. Does anyone know if this is a valid way to submit? Do we have to go through the website?

waitlisted via email. figured it was coming, and is better than a ding, but as it is my absolute dream school, i am supremely bummed :(
