You're right in that they're probably considering total cost of attendance. Even if there are some schools that have more expensive total costs, Cornell is quite pricey.

I agree 100%...and why? I don't understand what makes one school $55,000 and another $48,000 of comparable reputation, size, and rank

Meh, I wouldn't stress until anyone hears anything. I'm under the impression that there isn't any rhyme or reason quite yet. Nothing really to support that other than my negative attitude, lol.

I called them 3-4 weeks ago, and the message seemed to be that they would take about 2-4 weeks after the second deposit deadline to re-review things and make decisions.
