How did you get a clue as to when you'd hear back? I just missed the EA deadline, and someone in the admissions office mentioned that they would handle that batch ASAP after the new year, but I didn't take that as an indication that I would hear back about my application at any specific time. I went complete on 11/25.goosey wrote:Vegas_Rebel wrote:Cornell has a status checker on their website here: http://support.law.cornell.edu/admissions/status/ndirish2010 wrote:I sent in my app on 12/28 and haven't received any email confirmation that Cornell received it...do they have a status checker or let you know when apps are complete at all? (Already went complete at Duke and UVA submitting at the same time)
It's nearly useless though. Helpfully, it's so far told me that I 'Applied' as of 11/06/09.
same. I was told I would be among the first decisions out when they get back in January, so expecting to hear back soon---cornell as a long shot. miracles have happened though?

I was trying to get in by EA as well and missed it and was told that there are not many apps complete at the moment and that mine is at the top of the pile (I would imagine yours would be the same, since we applied at the same time) and I would be of the first to hear when they return in january

I have been Status: Applied since 12/01. It seems common, but very frustrating.

Hey everyone, I have been applied RD since 11/25 and called today to ask when the application would be complete etc. etc. She lady said that RD applications would go complete soon within the next couple of weeks with the review process happening during that same time.

I'm in the same boat as you guys. Applied 11/13, status checker at "Applied" since 11/20. I emailed them a couple weeks ago just to make sure I hadn't omitted anything from my application. They basically said the status of non-EA applicants wouldn't be updated until they had gotten through the EA pile.

Re: Cornell waiting room
Hang in there. I applied EA last year but one of my LORs didn't make it to Ithaca until 2 days after the deadline, so that put me at the top of the RD pile. I got my letter on January 8th- so it shouldn't be long now!

Do the acceptance packages include scholarship information, or does that come later in a separate letter?

+1 I remember reading way back that people were encourage to apply for certain scholarships. Was this mentioned in the actual acceptance letter or elsewhere in the acceptance packet?Jericwithers wrote:Do the acceptance packages include scholarship information, or does that come later in a separate letter?

If anyones curious, I just talked to a very nice lady in the admissions office who told me that in the past, EA-deferred candidates are NOT reviewed after the RD applicants, and the office usually switches back and forth between batches, "to be fair."

Can your app go complete before they receive the Dean's Certification form? I am heading back to school today and plan to bring the form to the Dean's office on Monday...will they not classify my app as complete until the form reaches Ithaca? (Sent in my application on 12/28 after I got my December LSAT score)

Some of us, yes. Nobody's quite sure how many people got that...our best guess is somewhere around 125-150.jocelyne wrote:For those of you who got in, was the Dean's Scholarship info mentioned in your letter?
