I applied EA and got deferred to the regular applicant pool, then got reserved. So I guess that puts me as EA reserved? lolgaud wrote:Schang, what's your status? Were you EA reserved? Deferred? Regular admission?

Wow, I just saw your numbers but it looks like an auto-admit to me.. I'm guessing it's the "yield protect"?gaud wrote:Same here. Ugh. I'm guessing it has a little to do with that and a little to do with the rest of my application being wack. Very little WE and what not.

Just looked at the status checker for the first time in a while, and there was movement 5/17.
Everyone else have that, too?

Assuming you aren't sure if you had a 5/14 update in addition to the 5/17 ?nbj08 wrote:gaud wrote:Are you one of us 'reservists'?nbj08 wrote:Just looked at the status checker for the first time in a while, and there was movement 5/17.

Gotcha.
Yes, I haven't checked it since April, so I didn't know if there had been updates on more than one day.

After a refreshing break, (and a reserve) I'm back. I'm not sure whether I got the 5/14 update as I had turned off my status checker, which was wonderfully liberating. I did get the 5/17, though.
Onward we go.

Wondering if any of you know if, in years past, Cornell accepted applicants straight off the reserve list, rather than place them on the wait list, first?

It looks like a few (and I mean a few, lol) were accepted straight off of the reserve list. The rest were waitlisted with some getting accepted from there. Still, though, chances look slim.FakeHubieBrown wrote:Wondering if any of you know if, in years past, Cornell accepted applicants straight off the reserve list, rather than place them on the wait list, first?

Is it the most expensive? When I went to visit, financial aid made sure to say that they are now NOT the most expensive school haha
