That's nice. I wish, though, that they were less concerned with sending out Christmas cards and more concerned with sending out decisions. Speaking of which, has anyone who went DR 12/14 received a decision in the mail yet?0L Hoping for 1 wrote:Got a nice Christmas Card from Georgetown today. Nice touch G-Town.

In, DR 12/14. It was sent to my home address in NY, so I don't know anything else about what was included or written.

I was just informed by email that I'm "held" until January. Is this common?

This is maybe the fourth time in the nearly 200 page thread where this has come up, at least that I've noted. Don't worry, it wasn't worth hunting for.
A few of us received this. Basically I gather they are waiting to see how we stack up to everyone else before they make a long term commitment.
Mine says they'll let me know by Feb 26th - does yours say January?
Better than a ding right?

Mine says the same date. It says they will review it again in January. And sorry for reposting. This is my first time to this mammoth thread.somethingclever wrote:This is maybe the fourth time in the nearly 200 page thread where this has come up, at least that I've noted. What has been the typical timeframe to move from UR to DR? Just went UR as of 12/16; feeling antsy already! Thanks!

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
For everyone who is getting their decisions via USPS, are they sending them to your home address or to your school address?
I am DR 12/14 and have not received my decision. I am home for break and fear that it was sent to my school address.
I don't think I can handle 3 weeks of waiting.
Any thoughts?

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
I'm no longer in school, but I listed my parents address as my permanent and my apartment as my current address. Letter came to my apartment. So I'd imagine whichever address is your current address is where the letter will go.gators88 wrote:For everyone who is getting their decisions via USPS, are they sending them to your home address or to your school address?

The opposite actually happened to me- they sent it to my parent's house instead of my current apartment. I guess they don't have a consistent policy.

More information will be available on the Admitted Students site that should be available on Monday, but it appears that all of the scheduled events take place on Thursday and Friday only so you should be finejacosta6 wrote:Does anyone know anything about the Open House scheduled for late January? I want to attend, but I have to be back in New York by Sunday morning at the latest.
Is there supposed to be a more detailed scheduled on the Admitted Students site when it opens up?

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
New to this and I dont really want to run through all of the entries here, so I apologize if this has been covered:
I am at UR 12/10 and have recieved no e-mails, yet I cannot check my actual mail (I am in Europe for a month). I was wondering how they notify people about the waitlist? Is it by mail? Would it say if I was waitlisted on the status checker?
Thanks.

^^^From what I understand, the status checker will say decision rendered (it won't say what the decision is). I was under review on 12/10 and it updated to decision rendered on 12/14. It seems that the people who got put on the waitlist receive an email letting them know. Those that are accepted receive a notification via regular mail. That's what I've gleaned from this thread.

In! Postmarked forever ago because my acceptance package got returned because USPS sucks, so found out via the folks. UR 11/20. Won't be attending so I will go ahead and withdraw soon to free up a spot for some lucky person (hopefully on TLS)

Sorry if this is up, but I couldn't find it. What's the deal on the admitted student's weekend on January 28 and 29? Any info on schedule particulars or possible reimbursement? Or even what the heck is going on?
