On my way to take a Texas government test...
About 4 years overdue, needed to get credit for my 5 in AP government so I can bloody graduate.
Just realized that the test was super easy and I could have boosted my GPA by .01 if I had just taken it a year ago when I had nothing to do.
Procrastination FTL
Wait wasn't I supposed to bring things back to topic?
Err... my inbox is still empty

I HAVE STOPPED looking at the shenanigans on this Forum for some time; but write to ask if any "holds" have been accepted. You get accepted by 8 of 9 top tens (with money) that you apply to; and Harvard sits back and plays games ("holds" ???).
The Harvard "bearishness" sets in....

one jr1-hold was accepted last week. he retook the lsat in december, and the boost put him into auto-admit numbers.

Thank u......
.....still have become a Harvard "hold" bear in light of how I've seen every other top school deal in a straightforward fashion with admissions.

They are in their post history. Those numbers look awfully familiar.

Anyone have any experience with financial aid at Harvard? I am just trying to gage whether or not I have any shot at getting some money.
Right now my parents make about 300K Canadian per year combined, but based on the Harvard website since I am 27 they will only factor in half of my parents income. So based on a 150K income from my parents, do I have a shot for any aid?

Harvard definitely does not average LSAT scores.
I got an early JR1 with a 161 and a 169. Then again, I never got a JR2...

On the other hand, when we've seen applicants get unexpectedly held/rejected with a decent GPA and a high LSAT (175-180), it almost always turns out that the LSAT was a retake. Although it's clear that Harvard is not strict about using the LSAT average, I think it's also clear that they take retakes into account. At a minimum, they seem to count a lower first score as a negative soft factor.

I heard the first news about a JR1/holds/rejections when I left 3 hours ago expecting to come back to a flurry of activity and maybe even something in my inbox when I got back home.
No such luck.
2 JR1, 2 rejections.
I guess I should be grateful for more silence

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
