Yea still not complete is what I meant.
Edit: And just as I say that...I'm complete.
I haven't been accepted yet...
*crickets*
What's your GPA/LSAT in relation to the interquartile ranges?
When did you go complete?
It took almost 4 months for me to get my acceptance. Sit tight.
I meant that as more of a joke off of aboutmydaylight's fortuitous turn after their post. I guess it played better in my head than typed out.
I'm GPA<<<25th LSAT>75th. Complete in October, held in the first wave a few weeks ago. I'm content to ride the waitlist if it comes to that, but I see so many people with better numbers being held that I'm doubtful of my chances.

They're playing around adding interviews to their admissions. It's completely random. You cannot ask to be interviewed - they really want it to be random.
By random do you mean they've actually stated its random, or it appears random and we've yet to find a pattern?

You're refreshing your email? Columbia won't change your status after "Complete." You'll just get an email with your decision.

Since we just got a big wave of rejections, waitlists, and holds, does that mean a big acceptance batch is approaching us? Possibly today?

I don't think there was a wave of rejections yet (only 1 reported here), unless mine's currently waiting for me in my mailbox

I'm hoping for an acceptance wave late next week as LOCIs are due the 31st. I would think they'd want to try to get a few more people to the ASW the following week, but I could obviously be way off. CLS is anything but predictable this cycle.

What kind of people should write LOCIs? ALL people? Only those who are shoe-ins at HYS? Does it do any good for borderlines to write LOCIs? From what I have seen with UVA, the most yield-protecting school, they are letting borderlines in left and right while wait-listing the HYS shoe-ins. The impression that I get is that an initial LOCI (before being waitlisted) seems more necessary for the big shots rather than the borderlines.

I think all those receiving the "Held" notice should write an LOCI. If you haven't heard yet at all, I would say an LOCI is premature

Can international applicants give me some feedback on how they received their notification for dings?
I'm traveling and panicking that a letter is waiting in my parents mailbox...

I spend 90% of my workday unhealthily staring at my gmail and occasionally clicking to confirm an internet connection.
Pathetic, I know.

Nah, it's completely understandable. Shit's stressful. Especially if you expected CLS to be very predictable - which they don't seem to be this cycle.

How do the decisions work? Do you just randomly get a letter in the mail without warning? Or does "DLS" show up on your status checker?

For those who got held and got their loci confirmed. Do we just send our loci to the general admisssions email, or the email in the attached held attatchment.

I don't exactly fit that description. I used the link below:
http://web.law.columbia.edu/admissions/ ... d-interest
I had a standard "Your LOCI will be attached to your application" blurb after hitting submit (not an email though).
I would like to know if anyone has received a confirmation email after using the website. I really don't want to pester the admissions office with verification email requests.

I didn't even know that part of their website existed! I just replied to the hold e-mail with my LOCI attached as a PDF, but I didn't receive a response of any kind.

I'm in the same boat I have to call my parents everyday to make sure they didn't receive anything and remind them that if they do to not throw it away. IT IS NOT TRASH
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
