You went through this last year? you're just a regular glutton for punishment. GOOD LUCK!
yeah, with an LSAT score 10 points lower
Oh then totally worth it... even though I'm sure you're feeling a bit of rage at how slow your cycle is going. But just hold out hope that they're taking their time deciding how much $$$$ you should get.
Or they're waiting for MumofCad to hurry the fuck up and withdraw all her other apps so that she can free up some of that sweet $ so they can give it to you.

Has anyone have it say Dean's Scholarship in their mailings, but it still says zero awards found?

Sooo, just heard about this in the Columbia thread. Aren't we all SO glad Dean Z took this so well?!
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/ar ... 5Mar8.html
"He was responding to Harvard's decision Monday to reject 119 applicants for following a hacker's instructions to visit the school's admissions site to get an early glimpse of acceptance decisions."

This is a bit different than simply trying to login. They had to dig through source code to find their #, then alter the URL with that number.

Thats what I assumed as well, but their definition of "hacking" was
"applicants accessed a page the schools didn't want them to see, and they did it surreptitiously, without consulting the schools.
"I don't think there has to be malicious intent," he said."
Also, this was 2005 I think we have a better understanding of hacking today, but still definitely scary.

Stop this fear mongering.
1) What people did this morning is different from what happened in the article.
2) Law school admissions and business school admissions are different. I'd like to see CLS rescind those acceptances, many of which were for people above both medians.
ETA: oops, wrong thread. But stop freaking out here, too.

Wow. But once you get into source codes and things, it's in a totally different league than just putting your name in the ASW.
Plus, LOLZ at the ONE Duke kid who tried it, failed, and got caught anyway.

FYI, I talked to someone in admissions about scholarships (since my ASW says "zero awards"), and she said it takes about 2 weeks from the time of admittance to hear back about scholarships

What did Dean Z take so well? I've heard of the "Michigan ASW situation" but don't know what it was.

Pretty much everyone on TLS trying to access the ASW every single day until a decision was reached. One person tried 250 times BEFORE NOVEMBER FIRST!
Many more people tried in excess of 50 but under 100 times. ETC...
She ran a report and has sworn to not look at the offenders until all decisions have been made. If the 250 timer was indeed admitted I think she says she's giving them a T-shirt.
Just read the last post on the A2Z blog but that's it in a nutshell. If you've never read her blog, you must do it now or else you don't deserve to go to Mich. (and before I get jumped, this is OBVIOUSLY a joke) everyone deserves to go.

I'm not sure whether someone asked this before, but I don't want to go back through the 100+ pages to look for an answer. My status changed to "We are very sorry to tell you that we are not able to offer you a place in our entering class. A decision letter has been mailed to you at the address shown above." today. Does that mean I am rejected or just waitlisted?

+1. But soj, with YHS and a Hamilton in the bag, waiting on Michigan is inexplicable. How could Dean Z sway you? boo promise to visit you in A2 for some conversion weekends?

I've got a month on you. Tiago has been waiting since September.
Not to say this wait isn't a tad annoying.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
