Finally Decision dated 12/22 . . . thought it would never happen . . .
Edit: so did they mail the decision on the 22nd when the decision is dated, or the 24th when my status checker updated?

3 am on Christmas Day and I'm STILL EAC 11/11. Anybody else here still not DR if you were EA? I don't want to speculate on my decision, I just think it's odd that my status checker hasn't changed.

It'll most likely change Saturday or Sunday.Encyclopedia Brown wrote:3 am on Christmas Day and I'm STILL EAC 11/11. Anybody else here still not DR if you were EA? I don't want to speculate on my decision, I just think it's odd that my status checker hasn't changed.
I went DR (12/22) today. I'm guessing a rejection and they were just saving it for after the holiday. So long as they got it out of the way before 2010.
Anyway, Merry Christmas!

Relax people.
Still had some issues with my December LSAT (I requested that they not wait for the new score), and based upon my correspondence with their admissions office, as far as I can tell, they have not made all EA decisions yet.
Good luck, and merry christmas.

I've been at "Applied" since 11/17, so I wouldn't be worried. They didn't finish decisions on EA applicants until the last minute, so I think it's safe to assume that they haven't had a chance to start on those of us that applied after the EA deadline. Every other school I applied to around that time went complete long ago (although two of them didn't go complete until this Monday). I took the October LSAT so it's not that kind of delay.

I also just went DR 12/22 but called them
on the 23rd before the office closed and was told that I was placed on reserve, so I'm
sure that others were placed on reserve too and that it's not just rejections.

Also "applied," since 12/03 in my case. I'm not gonna get worried until sometime in January.AngryAvocado wrote:I've been at "Applied" since 11/17, so I wouldn't be worried. Re: Cornell waiting room
I was accepted on Wednesday, but my status checker still has me at EAC 11/20. When I called (prematurely), the lady was nice and told me to just call back the next day because they were finishing up EA decisions and that by the time my status checker actually updated, it would be the holiday weekend when they would be closed.Encyclopedia Brown wrote:3 am on Christmas Day and I'm STILL EAC 11/11. So you could have a decision and your checker just hasn't updated. And I saw a poster get in via snail mail without an email, so don't lose hope!

Well, I am now at decision, and I imagine that my file was one of the last ones they reviewed. Anyone know when the admissions office opens?

Re: Cornell waiting room
There is a 2 day lag b/w the time a decision has been reached and when your status checker changes. I was accepted and I did not get an e-mail until after the snail mail packet came.

Also at decision now, dated 12/23. Guess I'll be calling on Monday, since I won't be back home for a week or so.

Re: Cornell waiting room
Anyone accepted been able to get on this alleged Admitted Students Webboard? I want to apply for a travel subsidy for the ASD and the site says to log onto the status checker, then click the link for the webboard, but I don't see it.
Sidenote: I'm in Florida right now and I cursed the weather because it made me go dig out a sweatshirt from the closet. Its 51. Am I completely insane for being excited about Cornell?

Re: Cornell waiting room
No it does not. But I did everything in my power to let them know how serious I am about Cornell. (e.g. visited, Why Cornell, etc.). Good luck to you as well. Fantastic username, by the way.barrydukakis wrote:btw, badwithpsuedo... we are almost identical numbers twins. Doesn't look too good for us, but best of luck.
I won't be calling Monday. No need for an awkward "Sorry, you were rejected" phone call. The best I'm hoping for is to be reviewed again in March because they just didn't get around to looking at my application before xmas.

Received the letter today. They threw my app into the regular applicant pool. Could be worse.

My checker says decision as of 12/23 (not sure when it changed). Withdrew by phone that day, and NU withdrew me that day or the previous day. I'm assuming that's what the 'decision' is.

Also, I called the office today to find out my decision (DR 12/23 according to the status checker) and found out that they're closed until Jan. 4. Damn it.

You will probably get the decision in the mail before the fourth. It was mailed on 12/23.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
