Waiting for the inevitable DLS haha
It's only 10am in CA, the day is still young.misterbingley wrote:Just checked, still alive, ahhhh!
Does anyone know if SLS does DLS throughout the day, or are we safe after a certain of day?

I appreciate the good wishes, but alas it was a rejection. I'm not too broken up, after all I still have CLS and NYU to choose from, so how much can I really complain? Still, as an alum, I won't be so quick to pony up when Stanford passes the hat again.ebeth wrote:I will very much hope for this as well if/when the DLS shows up. Good luck!LargeHuman wrote:DLS yesterday, le sigh... It was a long shot, but after they sat on my application for five months I was hoping for an admit. Now I'm just hoping for a waitlist.
Well, I didn't mean that what we saw already was "the" big wave. I was just saying that a bunch of people had gotten in recently, especially some URMs. According to the decision chart, however, we should be gearing up for a few more acceptances around the 2nd week of April. That will probably be the "big wave" if anything.inandout1 wrote:I think its fairly safe to assume, especially since there are far fewer applicants this cycle than the last, that everyone who is still alive will soon be DLS'd or waitlisted. It would be quite a stretch of imagination to believe anyone will be admitted at this point especially since that big wave (according to confused7) already went out.
I'm not quite giving up hope before ASW, since apparently last year there were admits just before ASW.inandout1 wrote:I think its fairly safe to assume, especially since there are far fewer applicants this cycle than the last, that everyone who is still alive will soon be DLS'd or waitlisted. This. While I am not optimistic, people have been admitted up to the day of ASW. Also, ASW is a week earlier than last year, so the admissions office may not be able to finish before then.Knock wrote:I'm not quite giving up hope before ASW, since apparently last year there were admits just before ASW.inandout1 wrote:I think its fairly safe to assume, especially since there are far fewer applicants this cycle than the last, that everyone who is still alive will soon be DLS'd or waitlisted. I think most of the calls have been in the morning. Yes, ASW is this weekend I believe.inandout1 wrote:is ASW this weekend? and has dean deal ever called after her lunch break?
Yes, April 9-11 (Sat-Mon). She has made calls after lunch before, but not often.inandout1 wrote:is ASW this weekend? and has dean deal ever called after her lunch break?

Your skillz are greater than mine. I have been checking the blog more than daily and I didn't catch that until you posted.r6_philly wrote:New blog post!

Yeah, around this time last year she had a blog post saying they were finishing up decisions that week. I was really hoping for one of those, or at least an update on where they are at.misterbingley wrote:it was an interesting read but dean deal should be conscientious enough to know that most of the people reading her blog right now are of the wishing-to-get-in variety and not of the contemplating-passing-stanford-over variety
Honestly, I don't see how letting us know the percentage of the class that is full or not would hurt either. It's not like that would change any of their decision making processes, but I think it would help some of us who are sort of hanging on right now.misterbingley wrote:Even a "PS: We ARE reading on Saturdays" would've been nice

I am a firm believer of, if the class is full, they would be mass dealing DLSs and WLs.cardinals1989 wrote:Honestly, I don't see how letting us know the percentage of the class that is full or not would hurt either. Yeah, I just think my impatience is getting the better of me at this point. I am really anxious to start planning my life.r6_philly wrote:I am a firm believer of, if the class is full, they would be mass dealing DLSs and WLs.cardinals1989 wrote:Honestly, I don't see how letting us know the percentage of the class that is full or not would hurt either.
