I went complete on November 9th. I never went under review separately, just DLS on February 2nd.
Thanks for the response (Y). I went complete a little less than a month after you did; guess I should be bracing for the DLS pretty soon

I can't tell if the brevity here is b/c you actually don't care that much, or it really bothered you.

NYU
Does anyone care about Greenwich village anymore? Glad I dont have to worry about studying near obnoxious NYC art students and other idiots bragging about astronomical rent.
Chicago has better hot dogs anyway.

Do people
brag about the rent? I feel like it's a coping mechanism to deal with the existential dread. But also congrats. NYC is the worst lol

Complaining about your high rent is pretty much the platonic ideal of a humblebrag.

I have a cousin who attends NYU and had a very hard time adjusting to the social scene there. I just don't understand the NYU art kids...

I don't know about the second part, and I'll explain why in a second, but the the bit about parents having an absurd amount of $$ is totally true. NYU is known for no finaid. That is their "thing." The kids that go there, esp for UG have like no concept of what things cost or what monetary value even is.
The actor kids often are not in that group, they honestly think the learning/opportunities/connections at NYU and in NYC will be their "big break." For some it is, for some it... really isn't. And before they know it they're 250k in debt.

ty, ty. I've heard it's pretty ghetto for a college town, lots of homelessness and begging.

Checking in for Berkeley and UMich.
UMich was take it or leave it for me. I've been in A2 for seven years now and I want out. Berkeley stings like a bitch. It was a reach, but I really really wanted it.

You know what Berkeley I'm actually not mad at you. Keep doing your thing. You actually did me a favor. I probably wouldn't have paid sticker for you. I wont have to worry about financial aid deadlines. I dont have to move 6 hours away from my family. I won't have to live in a grimmy city like Berkeley. Much love catch you on the flip side.

Cornell,
The amount I cared about you was so little that I straight up forgot to do your video interview. Tbh I only applied to you because I was running out of status checkers and I wanted one more unhealthy outlet to my anxiety and maybe some scholarship leverage. I was never moving to Ithaca; we both know that.
Love,
Going to a better New York school, probs

What's gonna happen when they realize that everyone they admitted doesn't actually want to attend, and that their scholarship offers aren't large enough to sway anyone away from their other choices?
