I applied for FT and PT and my status checker has always said "Both." Today, with the UR update, it now only says Full-time. That combined w/ my solid interview and the other people who got the update (all have high numbers) leads me to believe I'm in. I'll wait for the snail mail letter before I officially start celebrating, but I'm getting kind of excited.

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
So I'm wondering what this means...
I applied to GULC in Mid-November, went complete 11/24, UR 12/10, and UR again today, 12/16.
Numbers: 3.82/168, not stellar numbers at G-Town by any means but not terrible.
I got an e-mail saying that my decision has been deferred until January, but I didn't apply early action / priority track or whatever...I applied regular decision.
E-mail says:
"Each year, a large number of candidates submit applications to Georgetown Law early in the process. The high quality of this group makes the Committee's decisions extremely difficult. Please be aware that only a small number of early applicants have had their applications held, and a number of those applicants in past years have subsequently been admitted."
Does anyone know what this bodes? Does anybody know if this means I'll have a better/worse chance of admission once my application is reviewed in January . . . or does it mean anything at all?
Please enlighten me, I'm freaking out and over-thinking!

There are a couple of us who got this email. I have similar numbers. It was discussed earlier in the thread but don't hunt for it as there's not much info. As far as I can tell no one really knows what it means except that they haven't rejected or waitlisted you, which is of course a good thing.
I take it to mean the following: We like you but we are not sure how you stack up to everyone else, so we're going to hold out and keep stringing you along to make sure nothing better comes our way.
Law school apps really are like dating huh?

My timeline is identical to yours, but my numbers are different (higher LSAT, lower GPA). I haven't received any emails about a hold ... or anything, for that matter. The second UR update has me whoa anxious, though.yelgnits wrote:So I'm wondering what this means...

Nope, I haven't got it yet. From what I've seen here, it looks like it can take up to 5 business days to get the decision.louboutin wrote:has anyone who was DR 12/14 received their decision?

Nope, never went to DR that I know of. Checked status in the morning, no movement, checked again late afternoon and I had been updated to a new UR date and had the e-mail simultaneously...possibly had a DR in there somewhere, but it doesn't seem likely.EijiMiyake wrote:yelgnits wrote:So I'm wondering what this means...

What was the date on the postmark.
What was included in the envelope?
I am DR 12/14 and still haven't heard anything. Thinking tomorrow might be a big mail day, unfortunately I am already home from school and suspect it won't be coming to my permanent address.

I was a 157/3.02/3.54 who had no business applying - even if it was URM PT ED*. I'm not at all representative in lieu of all these much stronger numbers.
*Impressive resume though, so I wasn't altogether foolish.

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
I'm in DC, the postmark date was 12/15, and there were four roughly 9 x 6 in sheets of paper folded in half. There was brief mention of upcoming open houses/receptions and obviously the acceptance letter part, which spanned two pages. There was a short handwritten note, which I've heard is fairly typical. I'm sure this is somewhere else on the forums, but the letter opens with:gators88 wrote:What state do you live in?vlurry wrote:Got in today, the mail was quick. DR 12/15, ED FT - 171/3.44
